What would you make of this?
Husband takes the dog on an uncharacteristically early walk without waking wife. Soon after, wife wakes and decides to run to the park thinking that she might meet them on their return. Wife meets husband and dog on their return stretch of the park. On turning around to join husband on the return journey, wife sees a couple in the far distance, exiting the area. The woman of the couple is a woman who the wife has previously suspected her husband of having an affair with. The man of the couple is this OW's husband. While walking away, OW looks around once directly at husband, dog, and wife, turns her head back, then immediately turns to look again and holds the stare for a few seconds. OW's husband is walking alongside her but does not look back.
Wife continues her conversation with husband, pretending not to have seen the other couple.

Walking at 5.30/6 on a cold dark November Saturday morning isn't much fun.

It does seem like a pretty big coincidence.

Were there many other people out and about?

Does the husband normally take the dog out at this time to the park? It sounds dodgy to me. Sounds like husband has arranged to meet OW but her husband has then said he'd go along too and she couldn't refuse so they've all ended up there together but ignored each other.

Im guessing this took place in the summer otherwise it can't have happened if it's in the UK

How did you know where he'd gone if you were asleep? I'm assuming you guessed as this is where he always walks the dog, only earlier this time?

Also, if the OW's husband joined her on her walk by surprise at the last minute, why would she go to that park? She would have gone to a different one. If the other couple don't have a dog, what reason could they have for 5.30am walks in the dark??

How did you rule out the threesome scenario based on his social media? Who advertises that? "Hello, I'm Graham. In my spare time I enjoy long walks on the beach and meeting married men in parks for threesomes with my wife". Also, presumably if that was the situation they'd be meeting back at Graham's house for a shag in the warmth? Not like he's gotta hide it from the wife; she's there too!

Seriously though, and I say this as someone who’s late husband had an affair, it’s suspicious. If it was summer then maybe not so much, but 5:30am in the winter when it’s dark. Bit of a crappy walk for the dog too!! Unless your dog is in season or reactive or something like that

I know a married man who met ow whilst dog walking. He used to text her first thing and last thing at night. Ow suspected he was married so it gotno further than an emotional affair.

Trust your gut OP. Something is wrong. Your husband has changed his habit (to walk dog at a new time) and given her a phone in secret (using family money/resources) plus linked their phones. This is not what faithful husbands do, people don’t even do this for platonic friendships.

I am genuinely glad my life is so normal and boring that batshit stuff like this is incomprehensible to me. I could not deal with thinking stuff like this is going on, whether imagined or not.

This reminds me of my ex husband's affair. They used to take the dogs for a walk, which was an excuse to meet up and have sex. Upon discovering his extra marital sexual pursuits, I questioned him as to how /where exactly he had to manage to dip his married wick in broad daylight. Apparently they had sex in the car. I vividly recall being absolutely disgusted that my beloved black labradors had been involved in his deceit and may have actually witnessed his sleazy actions. I screamed at him "Where the fuck were my dogs? They better not have been watching!" 😂😂😂

I suspect they’d arranged to meet up and her husband has his suspicions, so either went with her, or followed on.

If that’s the case, you turning up as well will have really made them think.
