What made you finally decide to leave? How old were your children? Lastly, how the hell do you do it?

Mine were 8 5 and 3. I was also pregnant at the time! I left because he was emotionally abusive, I was utterly miserable. I was lucky and was able to stay with my parents for a few months till I found my own place! Best thing I ever did.

Honestly, it took me a very long time to call it a day. I kept ignoring our issues and denying it because it wasn't bad, it just wasn't great either.

It is hard as it's a huge change. But I doubt there are very few people who truely regret it once it's all done.

18 and 21. One of my dc said to me that I should have left years ago! All fine now, still good friends amazingly
