Just that really. Preferably if your partner is a good egg as i'd like to meet one of them, but honestly just curious? Might give me some hope that I won't be forever alone😂

@ blessedmummyov5 😂😂 so funny.

EmmiJay · 10/10/2019 23:15

The new guy I'm dating was introduced to me by an actor. The actor saw I had liked a few of this guys pictures on his football teams ig and put us in touch with each other. If this new guy works out then what a story to tell the grandkiddos Grin

Bobthefishermanswife · 10/10/2019 23:16

Go @blessedmummyov5, you won mumsnet tonight!!! That's definitely better than in a nightclub, he was supposed to be a one night stand... 6 years, house, dog and baby later... He can stay 😂

Mother87 · 10/10/2019 23:39

I need to spend more time in the kitchen obvsGrin

NameChange84 · 10/10/2019 23:45

I'm single but met my ex as a mature postgraduate student. Lots of my friends in their mid 30s are students again. Even if it's just a community course at night school it might be worth investigating.

Amdram can be a good one too, also orchestras, language classes, art societies etc.

theemmadilemma · 10/10/2019 23:46

Work.

BumbleBeee69 · 10/10/2019 23:47

Spat my tea out there ShockGrinShock

bloodywhitecat · 10/10/2019 23:48

Swiped right when I meant to swipe left and the rest is history.

ExcitedForFuture · 10/10/2019 23:49

My house. He was a workman.

SprinkleDash · 11/10/2019 00:00

ConFusion360 · 11/10/2019 00:07

Scrolled through to read blessedmummyov5.. wished I hadn’t

I needed subtitles.

Caramelblonde70 · 11/10/2019 00:34

Wtf!? Not sure I'll bother with my mundane boy meets girl in a bar story now 😂

QueenH · 11/10/2019 00:39

Tinder! He superliked me Blush

MrsTriOskvi · 11/10/2019 00:42

Worked across the road from each other and served each other for a couple of years before dating. Been married 3 months now Smile

Scratchyfluffface · 11/10/2019 00:43

Tinder 😂

Scratchyfluffface · 11/10/2019 00:45

@rosegoldivy another Tinder story here - 5 years and getting married soon 😍

DramaAlpaca · 11/10/2019 00:45

He worked with my ex. We used to socialise together in a group every weekend.

It didn't take me long to decide I liked him better than the ex, so I disentangled myself from a relationship that had lasted five years. Now been with him 31 years. He's great.

18995168a · 11/10/2019 09:49

Tinder!

6ft 4, drop dead gorgeous (seriously, have never seen such a beautiful man) doctor, few years younger than me. Smart and motivated and generous.

Got married after three years together, currently laid on the sofa feeling his baby wriggling around inside me 🥰

Tinder is a goldmine. Even before meeting DH while dating I met loads of really great guys with their shit together looking for a relationship (who weren’t romantic matches for me but will make someone else very happy).

WooMaWang · 11/10/2019 09:57

Mine is a tinder story too.

All very mundane really. I always find the tinder aspect a bit embarrassing when asked, but people usually say 'oh I met my DH online' or 'everyone I know with a new partner in the last so many years met them on tinder'.

upups · 11/10/2019 10:02

Think I'll be making a tinder!! Whenever I've used it I just seem to find knobs😬

Sorry very boring, at primary school aged 5, went through schools together ( same year, ) meet up again at local college disco at 17, bought a house together at 23, married at 26, 3 children and 30 years of marriage later, still together.

GoodwithRocksandGems · 11/10/2019 10:09

Boring old work here! Loved blessedmummy response though.

The most daring we ever got was a quick kiss in the lift after sharing a portion of chips in the work canteen Grin

Been together 20 years and he’s lovely.

WooMaWang · 11/10/2019 10:17

You do have to wade through some truly dire stuff on tinder @upups. But there are some really great people on there.

SBD1 · 11/10/2019 10:18

Tinder, the only guy out of about 30 that I decided to meet. I was terrified and nearly didn't go (I think I'm ugly and not worth it if that makes sense) and I am so grateful that I did.

He makes me very happy.

Cherrypicker01 · 11/10/2019 10:20

Instagram... but as it turns out we knew everyone else around us and had crossed paths with each other, been in the same room, same events many times!
