How did you meet your partner?

Just curious really

I met my dh when I started a new job and he was on the same team as me, he trained me then got moved to another floor and team for a few months.

Then he came back to our floor with the same team and he sat opposite me as the desks were facing each other, over the course of a year we got to know each other through general chatting and I asked him out over the desks Smile he said yes and we went on a date the next day and we been together ever since, November will be 4 years together

On my cousins birthday night out, I was sat on a windowsill in a club feeling very drunk at 3am, he came and sat next to me, we spoke about his tattoos and swapped numbers (he invited me home, my brother wouldn't allow it)

Our mutual friends band was playing their first gig and we met there. I was very drunk and he was sober but I couldn't have made that much of a fool of myself Grin

Local bar on a night out before I went travelling for a while.
Got back home and after contacting me regularly while away he played it very cool and it turned me off him & didnt have a great date with him a few weeks after coming home.

Year later after being on other dates (went back to ex for a while and bought a house and stated Masters and finally giving up on men) I booked to go travelling (only a month though) we met again n the same place and promised to go on a date when I got back. He collected me from the airport and we were engaged over a year later.

This one I met at school but we didn’t start dating until we were 37, he randomly messaged me on FB. Apparently he had fancied me at school, saw that I was online late on a Saturday (after he had a few ciders) and messaged me asking if I’d like to go for a drink.

Last one was through meet up. Hiking group.

First night of university. Was trying to cop off with his flat mate in the student bar but got rejected and ended up snogging dp instead. Was categorically NOT looking for a boyfriend. That was eighteen years ago 😁

I went to school with him and went out in year 10. Then we left school and moved on but during my teacher training year I came home and crashed a boys night out because no one else was around during which I found out he was getting divorced.

We started emailing when I was back at uni and got together shortly after I finished in 2003 married in 2005

Leaves out part where I already had a boyfriend who was unceremoniously dumped

My best friend kitchen. Hevis a friend of her husbands.

I tripped going through the door, and fell straight into him. I would love to say it was like a movie where the man catches the women and they fall for eachother.

But I actually head butted him. I apologised and went off into the living room. Mortified. Wasnt until about an hour later when he made a jok and laughed, that I actually looked at him and though 'oh wow, he is hot'. Got together a few weeks later and been together since. About 3 years.

Total stranger in a bar on a Saturday night. Shared a taxi, gave him my number, he text me Sunday, met up that night and haven't had a night apart in nearly 7 years! Married 4 years with a dc!
