Moneyissue why don’t you come and joins us on the friendly frugaleers thread. That thread has really helped me during what has, and still is, a god awful time

This weekend was tough for me too, I watched the match alone whilst my neighbours all had family over and BBQ's. I hate feeling lonely and I really did this weekend. I think the hardest thing for me is when I can't really leave the house as I have kids - and one was sick.

I also have no family nearby and moved to this area with my ex, we split and he left. Our kids were in school here so I couldn't just leave but it's horribly isolating and I'm a really friendly confident person. The only people I know here are a few mums who are busy with their kids/husbands and then people I work for and that's purely business not socialising. Plus I can't just invite myself over to someone's.

I've done the gym thing and know people there but again it's hard to actually find people to hang out with.

Nice to see I'm not alone either as I really felt like the only person without plans this weekend.
