We are skint yet he is still insisting i go for a back, neck and shoulder massage AND get my hair done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know how long it has been since i had my hair done in a hairdressers? september last year! Last time i had a massage (only had 1 in my whole life btw) was for my birthday last december.

I've been very stressed lately and I do need to be spoiled but isn't my DP fab?

What has your dp/ dh done for you lately?

that's fab

my dp got a permanent job yesterday (which I know wasn't just for me, but it feels like it was just for me)

My dh supprted me through 2 years of reconstructive surgery. I was disfigured through some of it. he made me feel beautiful still. he helped with our dd and did all he could, whilst working full time. He is now paying for me to have my hair done (snap lovemygirls) after nearly 3 years of having nothing done.

I love him

McDreamy · 23/05/2007 18:13

this evening he's not!!!

LoveMyGirls · 23/05/2007 18:14

my dp supported me through breast surgery that was 4 yrs ago now, can't believe how long ago its been and tells me not to worry about the scars/ stretch marks/ spots/ fat. He is lovely and works damn hard for us too.

GlassSlipper · 23/05/2007 18:14

he just put all the rubbish out for me

Sugarfree · 23/05/2007 18:16

What's he done McDreamy?Or shouldn't we ask?

Mine did the supermarket shop this morning, and took Ds3 with him !

I'm still in shock.

schneebly · 23/05/2007 18:17

he has just got himself an interview at St Andrews!!! Clever man!

dionnelorraine · 23/05/2007 18:17

ah, thats lovely, lovemygirls. My dh supported me even though i had a martion head! (on my profile) There are some good men out there arnt there!

McDreamy · 23/05/2007 18:17

He's just being a pratt and tonight I don't like him. He's gone out now so I've had a bath and I'm off to bed for an early night. I'll feel better in the morning!

AnneJones · 23/05/2007 18:20

I've just changed careers and am now far less well-paid - my DDH INSISTS we share all the income, which leaves him out of pocket as he earns more - and also INSISTS I continue to buy anything I like because it is our money. I love him so much.

He also puts up with me - he deserves a lovely big shiny medal, or at the very least a big wet kiss. Sigh.

AnneJones · 23/05/2007 18:22

PS. only reason we don't have a joint account yet is that we were earning roughly the same and never got round to it. We never worry who pays for what and frequently give one another money as our pay-days are half a month apart.

DANCESwithnewlytannedlegs · 23/05/2007 18:23

He thinks I'm gorgeous when I think I look like a pile of crap. Actually I'm not sure if that makes him the best or just slightly bonkers

Wotsit · 23/05/2007 18:25

He washes up alot.

LoveAngel · 23/05/2007 18:37

He changes poo-ey nappies and does night feeds more than I do. The darling.

LoveMyGirls · 23/05/2007 18:45

I don't know if yours quailfies for being "the best" because he shares money with you, it depends if you changed careers for yourself or if you did it to fit in with your kids/ family better? If for your kids then tbh if he didnt share he'd be very harsh? If he's much more generous with money then he can qualify though

come home from work early, to watch the footie with DS, who is beaming from ear to ear

LoveMyGirls · 23/05/2007 18:47

Sorry that sounds wrong, wasn't meant to, as long as he's the best in your eyes he counts. Is that better?

MrsNorris · 23/05/2007 18:50

He does more housework than I do - and he irons my clothes for me.

Sugarfree · 23/05/2007 18:51

McDreamy, glad to hear it's just 'normal man' stuff and nothing too serious.

Wilkie · 23/05/2007 18:53

...he makes me feel like the most special woman alive

mckenzie · 23/05/2007 18:53

My DH hasn't had a decent car for about 5 years now but he's just ordered me a new one.

LoveMyGirls · 23/05/2007 18:55

Mine irons my clothes too and the kids if i ask.

OP posts:
Sugarfree · 23/05/2007 18:57

Do the kids mind being ironed at all? Mine would play up terrible if I did that!

LoveMyGirls · 23/05/2007 18:58

lol!

My dh is my very own Jamie Oliver/Gordon Ramsay. He is an excellent cook and does the cooking most evenings when he comes in from work.
