Does it count as cheating if it's with a celebrity?

My friend (female) kissed one of her childhood hearthrobs at the weekend. We were down in London and ended up in a club he was in. Anyway she got the nerve to talk to him and we ended up sitting with his group and she ended up all over him in the booth. No sex, but a lot of kissing and wandering hands.

She told her husband when we got home!! He doesn't mind (or so he says). The guy was on her list of people she's allowed to sleep with, she had posters of him on her bedroom walls and he's in his late 40's/early 50's now? Anyway her and her husband both agree it doesn't count as cheating if it's someone on the list or someone famous. WTF? I don't know if she'd slept with him if he'd be bothered even? They've been together 20 years, married 15 and neither of them have ever cheated before. Both just carrying on, I'm in shock she told him so freely and he doesn't mind!!

A few years ago I quit my job working for an international event, and shortly afterwards my lifelong celebrity crush (understatement) was there as a speaker. He is still extremely gorgeous, a notorious womaniser and big sleb these days. Apparently he was behaving pretty disgracefully (not surprising, he is by all accounts a complete cock... but a very handsome one).

There’s no way I could have done anything though, no matter how long I’ve swooned over the bloke. Would have been difficult though! (Not that he would have been interested in me obvs).

@OliviaStabler I met him at a Buffy convention around 12/13 years ago and be quite obviously didn’t want to be there. Miserable and abrupt all day in stark contrast to James Marsters who was there too. I was gutted!

Just because someone sings for a living, acts etc doesn't make it ok to cheat ffs. Just because they get more publicity for what they do? Most people have jobs, that doesn't mean they can cheat or it's ok to cheat with them. Dave in accounting doesn't get publicity for his line of work but because a singer for example does they're fair game? Hahaha boggles the mind the way people think.

@OliviaStabler that was the day my allegiances switched to Team Spike I have met Marsters quite a few times now and have never seen him be anything but friendly and approachable.

I once met Robbie Williams while out with the dog. I live near a fancy hotel. He didn’t give me a second look but his hands were all over my dog and there was definite heavy petting. Even that made our local newspaper.

Maybe they see it as a case of she was “in love” with him first? No idea.
