sexy careers

If you could chose a career for your perfect partner what would it be?

A friend of mine (male) has just got a job as a nanny and I am not sure whether that would attract girls (sensitive nature) or turn them off (wuss)?

What do you think...

I think marrying a male nannying would be ideal becasue they would definitely have no excuse not to share the parenting!

a chef, so I never have to cook again

Blondilocks · 15/04/2007 18:53

I used to think pilot, although it has the disadvantage of stopovers & lots of pretty girls! However that is still a pretty sexy job & the uniform is fab ... my ex is a pilot & I'd like to do it but probably won't so am biased I suppose!

Other than that I think a business type job would be sexy .. esp a high up one such as an MD or senior manager!

I suppose if the man/woman was that perfect it wouldn't really matter what job they did. Wouldn't have anything against a nanny. Talking about our DD is how my ex got talking to his new girlfriend (after we'd split up I hasten to add) & many men say they get chatting to women at the park with friend's children in tow!

chef is a good one

my dad is a fireman so never had that fantasy.

ideal one would prob have to be a doctor but just because of the money

giddyfeet · 15/04/2007 19:25

Its interesting the amount of practical responses people come out with!

The army never did it for me. Maybe the police...

lou33 · 15/04/2007 19:47

what about a performer such as a singer or actor (doesnt have to be famous)..? I'd quite like a creative person...

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 16/04/2007 02:35

it would attract me. remember that programme where the teenagers had to look after the babies? sorry i forgot what its called. anyway there was that one (i think from devon?) who was particulalry good. i was like oooh shame he's not my boyfriend!! but then i have a baby. maybe if you didn't have a baby it wouldn't appeal so much?

nappyaddict · 16/04/2007 02:38

pilot, army, firefighter, footballer, rugby player, singer, actor, band member, model, gym instructor, doctor, dentist. never thought of diving instructor before but i saw a hot one in a film once ..

ChelseaDagger · 16/04/2007 02:52

OMG Quotie, that porridge oats ad is soooo pervy. If you mean the one where his kilt gets blown up in the alley and the young girls get an eyeful - filth!!!!

My ultimate sexy man career is bricklaying. I quite like electricians too but plumbers put me off. I know a very sexy teacher as well but he'd be sexy whatever he did. I don't think I find teaching a very sexy career in general.

Quootiepie · 16/04/2007 07:07

no, not seen that one! I am thinking of an old one where he is in the mountains or something, think chopping wood or something. Nothing pervy!

giddyfeet · 16/04/2007 08:57

eww! not a dentist - I'd get the fear of life every time he came near me!

My DP is a magician which I find quite sexy - I think its the confidence he has when he performs (although people's 'magic wand' jokes are wearing a bit thin!)

harrisey · 16/04/2007 09:54

My dh is a doctor but the job is not sexy! Long long hours, coming home miserable when people died, working nights and weekends, being unsympathetic to your illness because 'I saw someone with xxxxx today', being too knackered after nightshift to have any energy for you and the kids. I remember the CHristmas day that was ruined as he had to go out to a terminal patient for 3 hours and tell the family death was imminent.
I love that he is a wonderful, caring, involved GP, but I wouldnt call it sexy in the slightest.
However, there is no denyting the money is pretty good! We are both at college full time and he can pay our way by workig 2 days a week and some weekend nights.

I'd go for a fireman, or a musician, but uuuurgh high flying buisiness suit would totally turn me off!

giddyfeet · 16/04/2007 13:03

harrisey I am with you, a high flying business suit would turn me off too!
