Sounds very badly managed Selena, I guess you need to weigh the pros and cons of it for you and make a decision.
My mum has done CAB for 12 years and has just stopped, she does a lot but this year it has been too much for her.
You have to think of your needs x

Fell asleep in the chair last night woke up at ten to one😀😀 hobbled up to bed and slept pretty well.
Still damm sore this morning tablets not really doing anything which is annoying.
Boys off to school so going to be boring day. But have to decide on a cooker now as ll want me to replace my cooker. I think if we move out they would gut the place and out in new modern kitchen so dont want to oay for free standing cooker. But of a bummer but what can you do?
I need a new cooker before xmas dinner😀😀

Been pottering so i dont seize up sitting all day. Sorted washing and done pile of dishes that appeared from ds's room😀 back to sitting with hot water bottle and cuppa till i start cooker hunting. Hoping that i had the one i liked bookmarked on pc. Also got to check ebay. Living the high life here 😂

Home just in time for lunch , so have just sat and read back.
Willow - sciatica is so painful , you poor thing . It seems to me a time thing - gentle moving around, keeping back warm and a bit supple, but basically time . Have I got it right that LL is persuading you to buy the cooker ? That cannot be right surely ....
Selena - the volunteering is a bit off. If it were paid, I bet they would not be allowed to treat you like that. You are doing good in your community, and being treat like that. Rubbish .
Chasing - that manicure is smart - I'm afraid tax info makes my eyes cross. so you did well to hold out as long as you did!
Horse - the presents sound ace - do you want to work out what to buy my son in law? Pleeeeaaaase ! :)
Cake - ah , its good to have a chat with grown ups - not just little ones .
Well, a bit weary - not quite an unknown bed, but not my bed , and a little tap on the door at 7.00 - just to see if you are awake grandma :)
All sorted, a chat and then home via a quick dash to the market. I have hung washing out, but it is looking remarkably as if it is going to rain. Its cold too, particularly in the wind.
Afternoon is easy, not going back out! Shall rustle in the freezer for something for tea , feeling lazy :)

Book house was mine so cooker is mine. I dont know if I can insist they buy a new one so have chosen one and will order tomorrow as its next day delivery. Am hoping I will be up for nipping into town for shopping and pick up a game have got on click and collect for ds1 (and have a coffee in between just to 'rest' )

Moved on from cookers to xmas presents for kids, ordered the helicopter and a phone for ds2. I gave up on ebay, prices just kept going up so found a website that sells refurbished ones and they have good reviews so got on for just a couple of pounds more than they are going on ebay for and free delivery to boot. But thats not strictly a xmas present as his is not up to much these days just no memory no matter what we delete etc. Watching some lego for him too.

DS1 wants an xbox one game so have asked him to claify which version, of course its the most expensive one! How can it be nearly double the price of the other one they both are playable online!

Got gammon in oven for tea, nice and easy

Noticed today that one of the gps is sneezing and drinking a lot. A trip to vets in order I think. Always something.

My boys used to do that to my mum when she stayed over book (and I'd pretend not to notice ).

School meeting this evening for ds1 DofE, droppog ds2 at joggers with friend first anf then friends mum collecting. No idea what's for tea! Have some ham that's past it's date but smells okay (I think!) so might just have that with egg & chips.

I have nada for Christmas. Planning to make a start on Saturday.

Hope you keep feeling OK Willow it's obviously not going to sort itself over night. Any chance you can have a shift of eg just doing the till on Saturday? Otherwise I can't see how you can work!

Cake I doubt that would go down well but may ask if I can do lighter cleaning and sink breaks!

Ordered 'Secret Santa' for work. Its to be something fun so ordered 'I'm a Celebrity' game, like Beanboozle but with nice things and bugs! And a couple of Ant & Dec face masks

Managed to find ds1's xbox game cheaper so yeah me. Spent a fair bit today! Got my sloes out as need to make room in my freezer for Xmas stuff. Need to make that sloe cheese next. Oh and Xmas cake. Arghggh its never ending

DS slept well but my goodness I had some weird dreams, including a public argument with MIL Thankfully just a dream hey?

I won't be having the new baby on Friday - she can't get the money together so will apparently start back in January. Clearly cannot see that it's not doing anything but moving the problem, but she's no longer mine! I won't take her in Jan even if I still have space.

Not much else to report - icy out!

Wet here but had freak hailstone shower last evening. Battering down but almost clear hail not white then rain. Weird it came out of nowhere we just heard this almighty noise!

well, did sort of have a lazy-ish afternoon, actually sat and did some crochet, but ended up ironing and such :)
Wet here, and dark, so I don't think my planned trip to the allotment is happening today , need a new plan

Willow - hope the pain is easing, but even if it is, just take care of that back - it's the only one you have! Hope the cooker search is working.
Cake - I never remember my dreams - very rarely I do wake up with a bit of recall, but it soon disappears. Sigh of relief about baby? -
Chasing - I love the tap on the door - I am always a wake, and love the patter outside the door, with him trying to be quiet :)

Oh bugger. Just had an epiphany and realised that me breast screening is today and its not at local hc but 20inute drive away in oppisite direction from town. I could do without that before shopping.

Nobody answering the damm phone to try to arrange another appoint. I am not spending an hour driving before i even get to town for shoppping i suspct that will not do me any good. I just want to get shopping and home again!

Didnt go, will try to rearrange appont if they are coming to nearest hc. One they were at has tiny access, tiny car park so would probably have to park and do 15 min walk anyway.

Am shattered! Did my shopping etc am aching all over. Got a few bits of xmassy food stuff to put away and some to freeze just to get started. Got stocking fillers for kids and gingerbread house to decorate for ds2 and minded child in a couple of weeks. Missed a parcel only ordered it yesterday didnt realise it needed a signature so need to go to sorting office tomorrow.

Have left half of shopping for kids to put away😀 am sat with hwb and cuppa. Just remembered have got tkd tonight too.

Do you think if i have a snooze i will wake up to get kids 😀

Sounds like busy day for many - and cake, no baby sounds like bit of a reprieve as did you say would take over your Fridays? Plus the worry of pay or no pay.

It's a beautiful though very cold day here today. Taking advantage, I've been spinning, taken another bag to Charity shop, met friend for coffee, went to tip with ton of cardboard (cardboard collection on Friday, but it was taking over the lounge!), tanked up car, went to MandS Food and bought some Christmas food (had vouchers to be used by tomorrow plus £5 off £35 which started today), came home, loaded the freezer, now having sit down. Tomorrow will be a 'do nothing much' day.

Afternoon
just sitting down with a cup of coffee.
It has rained on and off all day so far, with a biting wind. Have pottered around doing bits and pieces, popped to shops and now am about to settle and do some knitting . Tea is sorted, but may take some chocolate brownies out of the freezer to put with some berry compote I made yesterday. Definitely comfort food weather :)
Willow - hope you are not lifting anything heavy . And yes to getting the DS to put away shopping.
Horse - its not fair having your day off when the weather is like this . Hope you had a bit of down time.
Cake - snap - I should be doing proper cleaning, but heh , it will wait ...

Busy busy Selena thays a lot accomplished today.
I am certainly paying for my shopping trip😀 bottom of spine aching like a good un.
Steak pie in oven for tea.
Havent ordered coojer as had to sit in armchair with hwb and couldnt face the computer chair.
Got stupid letters from job centre hq banging on about how i wasn't paid jsa in November as i didn't attend signing on! Er no cos i was working as i told you! Tried phoning and after arguing with bloody computer voice as to why i was phoning then waiting for a human being forever i gave up. Will go on website tomorrow. They kindly told tax office i had been receiving jsa which is taxable so i want to bend thier ears as never got a penny.

Got call from bt re contract nearly up and i could get an upgrade. Its only the sim card so dont know how that works but was too sore so told them no. Will go on website too to check it out.

If ds2 didnt need to attend every session before grading next sat i would be missing tkd tonight thats for sure. Have had enough of today😉

Brownies with berry compote sounds very nice book my mum made raspberry chocolate brownies a couple of months ago and they were lush.

DS was a bit of a horror last night, but slept for 10 hours so hoping today may be calmer. I do need to find another child squirrel as one's mum is due a baby at Easter and the other is off to school in September, so I will feel better with another income stream...but I'd like the right one and clearly this one was wrong on many levels.

Hope DS1 didn't get too wet. It's dry but freezing here!
