Oh dear - I just posted the 1000 thread. Hope we all find this one.

Selena hugs back.
I just miss him, not particular things as such, just the essence of John.
And if I think about that I just ache for him and tears just leak from my eyes.
So, mostly, I don't think about it I just carry on.

Evening all
a quick drop in - had a busy crafting evening :)
Panetonne is like a very high end, rich, buttery bread/brioche filled with dried fruits. Lovely with a cup of tea, and even better if it has extra butter on Blush
Chasing - that sounds like a hard day ahead , and on such a convoluted topic too. Hope it goes well .
Off to bed soon - am off on a jolly tomorrow - a coach trip to the big knit and stitch show in Harrogate ( arranged by U3A ) Out early, back late . Long day, but I am looking forward to it :)
Sleep well all
Thoughts and Prayers -

Just popping in quickly before bed Smile.

Work is ok. I am still ploughing my way through the paperwork mountain in my office. Hmm Thank God it's Friday tomorrow, lol!

Thank for the recipe book, quite fancy having a go at that.

Hope you have a restful night chasing and are feeling better for your work event. Nearly the weekend!

Pastoral care sound like they are on the case Willow, I really hope they sort the perpetrators out and that your DS is ok. Kids can be so horrible.

Has your weather settled down Selena? It's been a gorgeous day here today but is really cold now.

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 24/11/2017 06:42

Sounds like a great Friday book Enjoy it!

Good luck with work Squirrels and Horse

This is potentially my last Friday off but I still don't know what's happening with this new child Angry I'm going to be spending it quietly at home. Out for a meal with some of the school mums tonight - a bit unsure what to expect.

Hope the wrist is feeling better Willow and DS has a quiet time at school as he deserves.

Check in later x

Chasingsquirrels · 24/11/2017 06:42

Have a good trip book.

My nose feels like it's about to explode into coldsores - yuk Sad.

Budget seminar is only a couple of hours and I don't present, so just need to talk to people before and then sit and listen.

On with the day ...

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 24/11/2017 18:01

Hello

Just a quick pop in while I bide my time till 6:30. I am going out... I can't remember the last time that happened and it's only chinese with the school mums but hey, got to start somewhere.

DS loved the new gymnastics till some little sod whacked him in the nose with his head

Hope you had a good day Book

How is DS1 (and 2) and your wrist Willow?

Willow2017 · 24/11/2017 19:22

Enjoy your night out i cant remember my last one.
Wrist not so bad thanks. Ds1 fine but has infected toe though and has antibiotics. Right pain to get them in him 2 hours before food and an hour after!

Chilling out after work cm older kid so not really work😉 doing extra shift at cafe tomorrow now there goes the day. But will manage our 'cafe time' with ds2 first.

Ds2 didn't get to speak to teacher but she spoke to 2 of the kids. Its a start i suppose pity she didnt have time for ds2.

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 24/11/2017 22:44

I am so full! Envy

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 24/11/2017 22:45

PPS the woolly hug has been in her bed so helpful and well timed

Chasingsquirrels · 25/11/2017 09:37

Glad you had a good night cake .
How is your wrist Willow, hope okay and you are enjoying cafe time with your boy.

Budget seminar was fine and gives me a few extra hours. Then did some clearing the garden, a friend popped round for coffee, took ds2 to judo and went out for a WAY meet up and not back till nearly midnight.
Admin tasks today which I am determined to get done ...

Morning all!
Lovely bright, but very frosty morning
I had a lovely day yesterday, walked my feet off, bought some lovely yarn ( not with anything in mind, just erm , had to have it!) came home and DH had made a fabulous curry for us. Then virtually conked out Grin
Horse - hope you have a mixer with a dough hook - you need to leave it running for ages - I wouldn't have done it without :)
Chasing - poor you -- the ones around and in your nose are just the worst. It usually means you are run down too-, not surprisingly -they always attack when you are not on full form .
Cake - Good to hear you got out! I love Chinese, but always eat too much :) . Poor Juan , she truly is having a horrid time. Send her my ( our?) love.
Willow -ouch poor DS1 - sounds painful . AB's are a pain - but where would we be without them? Don't knock yourself up too much at work - double shift sounds very tiring.
Well, having a very relaxed morning , we are off to the big Saturday market for a few bits, lunch out , then an easy day I think .
Have a good day all

Willow2017 · 25/11/2017 11:33

Morning all

Very frosty here today proper winters day. The whole world was white!

Enjoyed my coffee with DS2 and banter in the coffee shop the staff are lovely in there and rake around shops, got some new pillows for kids and slippers but none for me! I cannnot get slippers to fit!

Only one shift today Book 5 hours, long enough! Glad you had a good day yesterday, I am sure you will find a use for the yarn Wink

Cake sounds like a nice night out. We love chinese. Might get a takeaway tonight Hmm Have given DS1 a double dose of ABs this morning as its imppossible to do the inbetween meal stuff.

GOt some very small sweets for ds1 to 'practice' swallowiing as he is hopeless at swallowing tablets, got a lecture from GP on how expensive the liquid is and he has to take tablets next time! He just gags them straight back up, drives me mad (yes I know IABU) I am hoping the fact that the liquid is foul might be an incentive!

Quick cuppa before its time to go.

(((Hugs))) for Juan.

Horsemad · 25/11/2017 22:25

Evening All Smile

Wow, I am tired today. Not done much really, met a friend for coffee this afternoon and watched SCD this evening and that's it!

Great idea to practise on sweets Willow.

book, I haven't got a mixer with a dough hook - will have to borrow one if I make it.

Am off Xmas shopping tomorrow! Not usually this late but can't get in the zone this year...

bookbook · 25/11/2017 22:50

Just popping in to say goodnight after knitting and SCD :)
Sleep well
Thoughts and prayers

SelenaValentina · 25/11/2017 23:06

Strange day weather wise again. Colder, squally rain/hail showers, bright sun. Went spinning, did hospital shift walked to coffee shop. Sat and read!

willow that's thinking outside the box, but I do think GP bit off. Can't believe liquid costs thousands.

horse, think you needed the downtime day?

squirrels, how's the nose? Sounds awful - dig out Vit C and maybe Sambucol? Hope the admin got done too.

book, bet you're not as old as me but you certainly have thrice my energy.

cake, thank you for the update on Juan. So hard for her. Glad your meeting was productive.

Sleep well everyone. And keep warm. Smile

DramaAlpaca · 25/11/2017 23:34

Hi all, just wanted to pop in & say hello. Hope everyone's OK.

Sorry I've been missing for so long. I sort of fell off the last thread a few months ago and just spotted this one now when I saw it in Active.

I've had a lot going on recently and although I come on MN most evenings I only have the energy to post quick comments here & there. There's nothing actually wrong, I'm just too busy & a lot stressed out

Glad to see you are all still chatting & supporting each other.

I'm going to have a read back & find out what you've all been up to & I hope you don't mind if I pop in occasionally, even if I can't manage to post regularly.

Love to all.

Horsemad · 26/11/2017 08:08

Drama! How the devil are you? Smile Good to hear from you.

Right, I'd better get up, got to start the Xmas shopping today...

Chasingsquirrels · 26/11/2017 08:36

Lovely to hear from you Drama.

Have a productive Christmas shopping day horse, but take it easy.

Tiny sweets a good idea willow - skittles? I used to have tablets crushed in jam, but both my boys just take them - ds2 started by just crunching a paracetamol dry (!!!).

Sounds like a good day at the show book, and a bit more restful day yesterday.

How is ds sleeping cake?

I had a productive admin day yesterday, still things to do but back onto it now.
Then was asleep on the sofa from 6pm-8pm, just knackered.
Nose is a mess, but all inside so it doesn't look horrible like it would on my lips and fingers crossed they aren't spreading - I'm being very careful.
Woke up with a headache earlier and ds2 got me paracetamol and I've been back to sleep but it's not fully shifted it which is a pain.
Ds2 has hockey this morning and someone else is taking him so I might have a soak in the bath then.

Oh Selena I missed you, you seem pretty busy to me!

Picture of Charlie which ds1 took on Wednesday but I'd not seen that he sent to me - best one of the three he took as well.

Morning all!
Lovely to 'see' you Drama - hope you can find a way to relax , though its really hard - it just piles up on top sometimes, doesn't it?

Horse - its cold out there, at least it will feel like the right time of year ( I have just got my first Christmas card ( tbf its from my friend in Aus) and it has koala bears and Father Christmas on the front :)
Chasing - sounds like you could do with a good rest there, its the body telling you to slow down .
I am sat snuggled up in my thickest dressing gown. Will be going to the allotment a bit later - there is not much point until the frost has gone off the grass and car windscreens. It will be bracing!
F1 after lunch, and then off to DD's for tea , find out the rota for picking up DGS this week. ( she is due back at work on Wednesday , though at the moment she still cannot drive as her foot is still very sore when she doesn't have the special boot on).
Off to try and drum up some extra interest in the craft sale on fb and auction for Woolly Hugs - some lovely stuff, but money is tight, no doubting it .
Have a lovely day all

Willow2017 · 26/11/2017 10:45

Morning all.
Nice to see you Drama.

Up early washing done and uniform pile ironed. Sitting having cuppa and watching tv for a bit. Working at 12. 8 hours on my feet not inticing😀 hope boss is in good mood today. Have gone right off sunday dinners😉

Nice morning was frosty but clearing now not so cold as yesterday.

Have a relaxing sunday everyone ( Book of course you wont I don't think you know what relaxing means😉) hope you are all feeling better soon.

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 26/11/2017 13:23

Hello all, I have been reading but not got round to posting somehow. Just getting on line while DS does some colouring for his homework.

We are all good. He has been sleeping quite well and today the boys got up on waking at 6 and I stayed in bed until 8! We had fresh air both days - sunny but cold! and therefore hot chocolate too Wink

Lovely to see you Drama hope that you are all having a good weekend too. I still haven't done any Christmas shopping. Going to get the children to write their letters on Friday evening and l will start a bit of shopping next weekend. We are having a very quiet one this year thank goodness DS wants to go see Granny...

Hope your feet survive your shift Willow and have a lovely tea book. Count down for Charlie now Squirrel Who is the most excited?

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 26/11/2017 13:24

Oh and Horse I'm sure that you are shattered after being back to work. How is DS getting on at Uni?

Horsemad · 26/11/2017 20:30

Hey y'all! Had a productive shopping day - once I started I couldn't stop Grin

I have got almost all that I wanted for DS1's GF's presents (she's with us for Xmas, from abroad - arrives 2wks today).
Haven't actually bought anything for either of my own DC yet... Hmm They prefer money but I like to get them a few gifts for under the tree and of course we still do Xmas stockings Wink They were both horrified when I suggested we cease Xmas stockings Shock

Hope work went ok Willow and that it wasn't too busy.

Chasing, Charlie is a really handsome boy, lovely picture.

Cake, DS2 is home next weekend (I am really looking forward to seeing him!). All going ok at uni I think but am looking forward to having a chat with him about it all whilst he's here Smile

Horsemad · 26/11/2017 20:33

book, we had quite a frost here too this morning but it warmed up fairly quickly. Haven't seen a forecast for this week yet though.
