Oh dear - I just posted the 1000 thread. Hope we all find this one.

Selena hugs back.
I just miss him, not particular things as such, just the essence of John.
And if I think about that I just ache for him and tears just leak from my eyes.
So, mostly, I don't think about it I just carry on.

Still waiting to go to theatre. Not been told to get changed yet.

I have forgotten my slippers! I am hopeless Grin

HeadlessHorsemad · 25/10/2017 09:44

Gowned up and waiting to be called Sad

Willow2017 · 25/10/2017 09:45

Not as usless as me this morning Horse !!!
Was up too late as discovered something when checled my emails and was very late by time i had checked it out. Then phone battery died as hadnt charged it so no alarm this morning and i woke to bright sunshine....panic...it was 9.10 😲
Friend had phoned and then came and knocked door for kids but never heard a thing. What an embarrassment. Kids dropped off at school at 9.25. So i beat you in the useless stakes today.
Having a cuppa to recover my senses 😀
Hope you are all having a better start to the day.

bookbook · 25/10/2017 09:47

In my thoughts Horse ,
Willow Shock - life happens, and you were obviously dog tired and needed the sleep in.
Heading out now , have a good day everyone

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 25/10/2017 17:47

Hello all

I hope you're all tucked up somewhere comfy now horse and that all went well.

OMG Willow that would be my worst nightmare!

book hope physio for DH went well. You're busy enough, so certainly don't have to explain your washing regime! I can only dream of not having so much but would miss the children

Today was meant to be the stressiest day of the week and surprisingly all went well! Swimming lesson and ortho with 4 children!!! DD's teeth doing well so that's great news!

Will check in later - just waiting for food delivery and will try and get DS to bed at a sensible time as this morning was 5:45...

Chasingsquirrels · 25/10/2017 18:52

Hope everything went well horse.

We met a friend and took her dog for a walk, tidied up the house a bit then went to Prezzo's for a Clubcard funded lunch with my mum as we didn't manage to get there yesterday. Then home, ds1 got sorted for camp at the weekend and their dad picked them up at 5pm. I'm sitting eating my favourite chocolates that I've had a box of in the cupboard for a while and watching GBBO.

HeadlessHorsemad · 25/10/2017 19:21

Thanks for thinking of me, I've been allowed home. Feel tired and shaky but glad to be home. Smile

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 25/10/2017 20:12

Sleep it off I'd say.

Squirrel that sounds like a pretty good day. How are you doing emotionally?

I've got my feet up and hoping for a few quieter days with DD gone to the dark side and me not working again till Monday.

SelenaValentina · 25/10/2017 20:19

Glad all well horse, sounds like soup and/or hot chocolate needed?

Willow - probably happened to us all and will it matter this time next year, week even?

squirrel - just lob a couple of chocolates over, if you can spare them?

cake - glad day not as stressy as anticipated.

book - hope your day went well?

Hope Juan feeling bit more with us.

I was spinning at 9 30, chatted to friend afterwards over coffee, went to an outlet place, meandered round, had lunch and timed it so arrived back as decorator finishing for day!

I'm about to attack some Lidl lemon sorbet, yum.

Willow2017 · 25/10/2017 20:40

Ooh any chocs left? What are they?
Sounds like a good day Squirels.

Pottered around tidying up kids bedroom put washing on etc then went for coffee and a read and got a few bits of shopping. Needed raffle prizes for school open mike night. I am presuming ds1 will be in it but of course havent been actually told anything. Hope its not on a work night must check.

Pottery pm too and got the hump with kids so took myself off to bed leaving them dishes to do and packed lunches as was sick of speaking to the wall.

Horse glad you are home. Pamper yourself completely.

Cake sounds like a good day despite the early start. Fingers crossed for later start tomorrow.

Selena you are right no it probably wont matter at all😀 just a blip in the day.

Have a relaxing pm everyone.

Chasingsquirrels · 25/10/2017 21:11

Umm there might not be any chocs left Blush.

Evening all
no chocolates left ? ah well .... !
Horse - glad you are home, and taking it carefully I hope .
Sounds like everyone has had a good day.
Long weary day here
Its a bit of a drive to get to DH's physio , so DH drives there, I drive back. Its boring and tiring all at the same time. He is not too good atm ( I should say, a lot of it due to his own fault in 'helping' the workmen ) but hopefully his visit will get him back on track.
So slumped a bit here, doing a bit of crotchet, but mostly nearly comatose! Be glad to get out to the allotment tomorrow , some exercise and fresh air.
Sleep well all
Thoughts and Prayers

Willow2017 · 25/10/2017 21:43

You had lindt choc and didnt share😲😲😲 shame on you.

( i wouldnt either 😉)

Hope he feels better after his m.o.t. Book.

Chasingsquirrels · 25/10/2017 21:48

Blush Blush
If it's any consolation 5:2-ing tomorrow, I weighed myself yesterday and I've put on a few pounds since the summer. Shouldn't have eaten the chocs but there you go...
So soup for lunch and chicken, peppers, onions & tomatoes for tea.
I've did 5:2 a couple of years ago and having dropped the weight I changed to 6:1, but haven't done it since John died.
I don't want to creep up any more so back to it.

Hope DH is feeling a bit better after the physio book.

OP posts:
TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 26/10/2017 06:38

Don't feel guilty Squirrel I wouldn't share those either. Hats off for doing 5:2 - I'm too greedy.

book that sounds like a bit of a boring day. Hope you get some lovely sun today for a good poke round the allotment.

Willow busy as ever! Hope your shoulders and back are OK and that you're up on time today Grin

selena hope things are taking shape. Have you decided on flooring now?

horse I hope you slept well and feel better today. Is DH home to look after you?

Hoping to take it easy today. Of course that means up by 6, trip to buy DS shoes, swimming lessons, stripping DD's bed and washing Wink
Will probably also brave a jog...

Check in later x

HeadlessHorsemad · 26/10/2017 07:12

Had a much better sleep than the previous night Cake, thanks!
DH is on lates so will go into work at 3pm if he goes (he is in spare bed so haven't asked him what he's doing but DS1 will be here, so I won't be alone).
Had the luxury of our k/s bed all to myself which was lovely, I love my bed so that was a nice treat!

Also had a McDonald's banana milkshake which helped with the scratchy throat from the anaesthetic tube Wink

Got to not overdo things for a couple of weeks, and will possibly need physio but apart from that, all good I think.

Chasingsquirrels · 26/10/2017 08:09

Good to hear you had a decent night sleep horse.
Have fun with ds & shoe shopping cake.
I had a late night last night (always do when the boys aren't here) and just woken up so need to get going to work.
Hope you've not overslept again Willow.
Have a good day on the allotment book.

OP posts:
Willow2017 · 26/10/2017 08:30

Up in plenty time today despite a rather sleepless night. Ds2 full of cold and came into bed with me and wriggled and snuffled and snorted all night. I was demented!

Glad you had a good night Horse take it easy today.
Book hope you get some time on the allotment today.
Squirrels whats 5:2? I suspect its food combos?

Got to do some washing today hopefully it will clear enough to get it out as pain to dry indoors. Need to sort out school uniform as it seems to keep disapearing! Nothing to do with kids of course 😉
Got to phone about my new glasses frames today as the original ones apparently disapeared. Opticians have no trace of them!

Nothing is ever straight forward.

bookbook · 26/10/2017 09:05

Morning all
a bit dreary here, and we now have a forecast of rain after lunch , so the washing needs to be hung out pronto...
Horse - sounds like you are doing all the right things, so yes take it easy while you can, and enjoy it if possible !
Chasing - ooh soup for lunch - good idea-! will go and rustle in the freezer and get some out
Cake - hah - taking it easy? It doesn't stop, just less busy really for you :)
Selena - how much longer with the decorator/early get ups? Not too long I hope.
Willow - hope all the bumps/aches/pains are easing off now . Are those the glasses the arm fell off, or a different pair? If the same, they seem to be doomed! DGS has lost his tie already ..... Hope you get a bit of 'me' time today
Thanks on behalf of DH - though I bet he is grumpy today - he tossed and turned a lot last night , but once he has got going he will be okay.
I am flying off early to the allotment due to weather forecast, but will be glad to stretch the muscles - it does wonders for my peace of mind/stress levels !
Have a good Thursday all
x

Chasingsquirrels · 26/10/2017 18:38

Good morning on the allotment *book?.

I've got loads to do at work, but only so many hours in the day so I can only do so much.

Forgot to take my soup (duh) so had a chic chip brioche roll instead. Doesn't sound good for a low calorie day but they are about the same as a tin of soup, just not quite as filling. Having my chicken, peppers, tomatoes and onions in a minute and really looking forward to it!

Willow - 5:2 is eating normally (or more correctly at the level of calories required to maintain your weight) for 5 days a week and having 2 very low calorie days at around 500/600 calories. Worked so well for me when I lost weight a couple of years ago and then I maintained that by moving to 6:1, with the 1 being about 700/800 calories. Then if I have some heavy calorie weeks, meals out etc, I'd do 5:2 that week.
I just stopped when John was dying - I wasn't eating enough so didn't need added pressure, then put some weight on when we went to Kos in the summer and a bit more since, so I probably want to lose about half a stone.

TheWorldIsMyCakePop · 26/10/2017 21:17

A good day here. DS just very tired. Been reading a bit about magnesium deficiency and sleep/anxiety, so may investigate further for all of us!

Hope you all had a good day. Squirrel - I couldn't go all day with nothing but a brioche! (or soup for that matter)

How are you doing horse?

bookbook · 26/10/2017 21:20

Evening all
Hope everyone is okay
Chasing - hmphhhh - I had just got there at 9.45 , it started to spit with rain, but I ignored it for half an hour, then it rained properly . So I picked some veg , and came home in a grump!
But the rest of the day was okay , got all sorts of bits and pieces done, so okay with it.
Besides, I decided it was chocolate time while watching supervet . I've not had this one before - it was on special at the supermarket when I popped in for some milk Blush. Its rather nice :) I have had to very deliberately wrap it up and put it away, so I don't eat it all in one sitting .

bookbook · 26/10/2017 21:36

x post Cake - DD gives DGS these over winter, but not magnesium - thats interesting

Chasingsquirrels · 26/10/2017 21:46

Yum!
I've been ignoring the raspberry smoothie lolly calling me from the freezer, but having seen your chocolate I'm going to get it now!

OP posts:
bookbook · 26/10/2017 21:52

sorry! - it's just made up for it raining all day here :)
