I just miss him, not particular things as such, just the essence of John.
And if I think about that I just ache for him and tears just leak from my eyes.
So, mostly, I don't think about it I just carry on.

Yeah, was given one date verbally and then it got pushed back. I have a strange lump that needs to be removed
Could do without the hassle but it is what it is, so have to get on with it.

Have had a brilliant weekend, would like to not have to go back to reality tomorrow but needs must!

Cake hope they run went ok and your sore bits have improved.

Got my shifts and only working Sundays at weekends and 2 days throught the week. One of them is my new volunteering but after all the hassle with going in for nothing its not worth it for one day, wont get much done at all. So will call tomorrow and cancel it, they will be able to get someone else to do the 2 days I am sure or the other person can do it if they want.

Managed to cut myself whilst doing dishes didnt even notice until was taking things out the steamer and someone said "thats blood on there" ! Checked my hands and nothing... then it started to bleed again! Got the worlds biggest plaster and tape on it as it was the only plaster they had!!! Discovered another cut when I got home when it started to sting! And the stupid vaccum started making a noise 10 minutes after I started using it! New vacuum (expensive!) I didnt do anything! So ended up with the worlds heaviest vacuum to do the whole damm place with! Funny old day think someone has it in for me!

Just read updates - good to see that today was better Cake - hope the knee/leg are okay after the run.
Horse - ughh- the stress of waiting is horrid.
Willow - it will get easier , honest ( fingers crossed behind back). You work so hard, you deserve a medal
I have truly had an easy day - and have been sat doing crotchet while DH was watching F1 tonight .
Thinking of Juan tonight , and hoping Chasing and Selena are okay too

Knee a bit twitchy but I managed a short run. Will leave it till Thursday now and then try again.

DS slept till 6:30! He's woken up in a much better mood.

Ah Willow that sounds tough (and understaffed for weekends) Glad you're going to have 3 days spread across the week. That will hopefully even things out. After the way that the volunteering job have carried on, I wouldn't worry about telling them to stuff it!

book we also watched the F1 (well I was on here) Are you on DGS duty at all this week as it's half term or not?

Rubbish night. Woke up at 2am cut finger so painful. Think plaster had shrunk on after getting wet couldn't get it off quick enough and cos i had plaster on my thumb it was very tricky😀 you would have been laughing at me😀 shoulder and arm absolutely thumping so had to get up for hot water bottle and painkillers. Realised last night that my sundays are now 8 hours not 6 (too tired to notice yesterday) omg will be crawling out the door😀

Cake only you could class 6.30 as a good night! Hope you arent busy today let them have 'free play' today😉 tbh am not sorry to give up volunteering its too chaotic in there!

Off for shower and tidy up bwfore work. And chase up the damm school again. Ds1 stressing out as he cant do the homework and is desperate to move down or change class. It's ridiculous waiting 2 weeks for them to ger back to me.

Willow - oh, that sounds awful tbh - throbbing aches are the worst to try and sleep through - and another day ahead. What on earth are the school up to .
No half term here until next week ( weird eh? ) so today is just normal pick up. Next week, we are hopefully arranging to have DGS for a day, so DD can have a bit of time to herself . Son in Law is working short hours next week , so is dropping DGS off but not too early :)

Started raining here just as washing machine stopped!
School secretary is going to pass on message and get her to email me later.

Charity lady very genuinely pleased for me felt a bit bad for letting them down as she is very nice (its just full on in there) but need to pay the bills.

Nearly time to go its very surreal still. Only 4 hours today so should be easier.

Forgot to say i slipped down the stairs last night to add insult to injury 😁😁 got big cuddles from ds2 he was there in a flash he is such a sweetie.

Oh my goodness Willow, that sounds like you've had some weekend!

It has been a busy day, but there has been free play and a bit of screen time. DS had his 1st swimming lesson and he enjoyed it - phew!

Oh that is strange isn't it book Guess it's all spread out a bit! Will be nice to have him for a day, I bet.

Tomorrow is soft play for the little 2 and DD will do some homework with hot choc and cake to help her along. She's been given a pile of maths! (Then swimming)

We are back home and I am trying hard to motivate myself to get on with a few jobs. Blimey I am the Queen of Procrastination today! I literally CANNOT make myself get on, even though I will regret it if I don't!

DS has received an invitation to his school prizegiving It's not until the end of term, so he'll be home for Xmas by then.

Work not as hectic but had extra cleaning jobs to make up for it😀 And they have changed my shift tomorrow to 4-8 grrr. Will miss the start of bake off!!!

Freezing here by 4pm had heating on and even fire for a bit. Then fell asleep on sofa for half an hour!

Packed lunches done and orders given for tomorrow pm😀

Gonna sit and veg out now.

Glad i am not the only procrastinator. We all need days like that.

DH woke me with some epic snoring and up for the day just after 6. Another busy day ahead, but it keeps me out of trouble. Foot and knee tender, so not going jogging.

Really horrible day out there.

Bit of hold up with kitchen stuff as decorator ill yesterday with the 24 hour bug going round. Back today though and says finished by Wednesday next week. Hurray, then the flooring - then deciding where everything should go and no doubt as book said, walking round in circles looking for things for next few weeks (months/years).

I'm with you all re sleep. These early mornings are shattering, and keep me awake checking alarm on etc especially as there's nothing I can do so not like rushing off to work with a purpose. Taking advantage of neighbour's kind offer of retreat today after hospital shift.

Kids off to school forgot its school photos today ds1 has comb and strict instructions to comb hair off his face.😀

Had TWD fest last night didnt realise the new series was on Now Tv already so that and 1 1/2 Talking Dead episodes later dragged myself off to bed! Will watch other half tonight.

Having a cuppa and off for shower then catch up on housework. Living life in the fast lane😉 might fit in a snooze later😉

Few lazy days while wiped out with this cold - good way to spend my time off!

Ds2 had a hockey match on Sunday but thankfully a friends dad took them. Then over to my parents for tea.

Same friends birthday party yesterday, and he was gone from 9.15 - 2.45.
I cut back all the nettles growing round the oil tank so I could check the oil, still half a tank so I can put the heating on without worrying we will run out! Will have to keep on eye in it though as it soon gets used up once it's doing the heating as well as the hot water. Mains gas would be so much easier!

Ds1 to archery again last night and shot for his next arrow award (15 arrows to score 115+ at increasing distances, he did 10m for the white arrow on his course and this was 14m for the black arrow), and just got it at 116 - so now needs to do the theory next time he is there.

Willow, hope you are okay - sounds like it's physical work and then falling on the stairs as well .
Sounds like a bit of a change for your boys as well from you being around all the time to having to sort themselves out more. Sounds like they are stepping up to it.

Cake, hope the swimming goes well. Ds2 spent a year of lessons hopping along pretending he could swim, then on holiday decided he was going to learn and basically went from nothing to 15m in less than a week via sheer determination.

Horse well done to Ds2 on the prize, and glad you had a lovely weekend with him.

Have left over Prezzo vouchers from clubcard which run out in a month so might take the boys for lunch today.
Then meeting a friend with her dog later, so hoping it doesn't rain.

Made it through and all quiet. Just waiting for the bake off to start.

Selena I hope the kitchen does get finished off now - you must be sick of it all now.

Squirrel not a great way to spend your time off, but half a tank of oil is a bonus.

Evening all.

Well they let me loose on the till! Course i screwed up a bit but nothing too bad. Will get better. Was a good shift 2 nice women and me. Had a laugh too. All this info on a million things which they acknowledged i will prob forget until i do them a few times. Was bloody aching by home time. How i will survive 8 hours next time i dont know😀

Kids hadnt done dishes when i got back as had bern too engrossed but they did them as were told i had done dishes for 50 people so damm sure i wasn't doing them😀
Mix up with school photos so the one with both of them ds2 doesnt have a jumper on as was pulled out of class without warning. Not happy first high school photo. Ones on their own they have jumpers on but Not getting 3 different photos!
Day off tomorrow yeah.

well,< looks around > not quite sure what I have done today to fill it up!
I did two loads of washing, and of course it didn't stop raining until about 4 this afternoon, so must admit, it mostly went in the tumble drier, as DH and I are out tomorrow . I have pottered, done a bit of gardening once it stopped raining this afternoon, and some house work
Selena - hope you enjoyed the peace and quiet. I am 4 years in to new kitchen cupboards, and still every now and then I have to hunt , when its something I don't use often!
Chasing - what a shame, feeling rubbish when you have days off. Well done your DS . Hope you are managing to shake off the cold
Cake - now there are only two of us, I just do it when I have enough to fill the machine, but I had got a bit behind- I still have another load to do, and all the bedding this week .
I have just watched bake off - I am enjoying it more than I thought I would moving over to C4.
Willow - just a day off paid work - you never stop!
First school photo of DGS doesn't look like him at all - I think he may have been trying to keep smiling for too long.

Off with DH today for his physio appointment so also making a day out as its a bit of a trip.
Horse - I didn't realise either - hard to stay calm, especially when its nil by mouth so good luck . I hope you are early on the list and over and done with soon .
