Scared to have sex

changedmynameagain87 · 02/07/2017 15:07

Ok this sounds stupid but I'm too nervous because I'm off the pill and can't take any other hormonal contraception, I don't trust condoms, not a chance In hell im having a copper coil and df won't have the snip. Basically I'm too worried about getting pregnant again. Got two kids, no more ta! I've only been off the pill three months and cycles are irregular still, 24,24,26 days so I don't feel like I can trust my body either. Literally abstinence is the only way but that's unfair on my fiancé isn't it?

I may have lost track but you might be able to plead a special case via your doctor for sterilisation if all other methods are exhausted.... and if you pay you are likely to be able to circumvent the pleading.

This thread is completely at odds with your recent one.

Why would you even need to think about contraception when you have no intention of having sex with him? And you don't love him or show any affection?

This is cruel.

Goingtobeawesome · 02/07/2017 17:43

Poor bloke.

MeanAger · 02/07/2017 17:46

Before I saw the other posts about your other threads I thought this was just an excuse not to have sex and you were hoping MNers would back you up that condoms alone weren't reliable. In light of the other threads I'm 100% convinced that's what this thread is.

MyFavouriteName · 02/07/2017 18:09

I just read your other threads too. Why have you started this one pretending you want sex when you say you are not remotely interested in your other thread? You say you don't even want to be with him Confused

changedmynameagain87 · 02/07/2017 18:15

I hate sex but I have to do it periodically for his sake. If I got pregnant it'd be absolutely shambolic. I can't take contraception so I need a way for the infrequent sex to be protected sex and it seems condoms are the only way.

Diaphragm? You can put it in in advance so no fumbling about.

bumblebee61 · 02/07/2017 18:23

I used condoms for years and years and never got pregnant until I stopped using them to conceive.

changedmynameagain87 · 02/07/2017 18:24

I need to research the diaphragm more. Thank you.

Copper coil has been brilliant for me. No change to periods, less pain if anything. I honestly forget it's there. Smile

picklemepopcorn · 02/07/2017 18:31

Diaphragm is good.

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 02/07/2017 18:43

I was in a sexless marriage and I was deeply unhappy, I felt unloved and unattractive towards the end.
As long as your fiancé is fine with a life with little sex that's fine. I wasn't, obviously. If you haven't had a frank chat, please do it before you walk down the aisle so he knows exactly how you feel.

I've used condoms, the thin feel ones and I've never become pregnant. I think you're using it as an excuse and we're hoping we'd all agree with you as another poster said.

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 02/07/2017 18:43

*you're
Not we're

EssieTregowan · 02/07/2017 19:19

This is so toxic.

You're depriving him of a real marriage, and you're having sex you don't want to give him enough crumbs to stay.

Just leave him, for everybody's sake.

KungFuPandaWorksOut16 · 02/07/2017 19:22

I don't get your comment towards me
I really hope you're not a migraine sufferer too

I get hormone based contraception gives you migraines, but I didn't realise condoms have hormones in them.

Orlandointhewilderness · 03/07/2017 09:46

Oh just read your other thread. Bad form I know.

OP just split for goodness sake! You don't love him and you don't want to have sex with him. I feel for the poor guy.

AnnaNimmity · 04/07/2017 09:06

I have the copper coil and my periods are the same as they were without (first couple were a bit heavier)- I'm really happy with mine.

NotTheFordType · 05/07/2017 16:23

Just tell him you don't want to have sex and he's free to seek it elsewhere. No more contraception worries for you!
