Well call me a Mumsnet Slapper then, as mine in 20 years is almost as many as my age, I aint 20 or 40, but somewhere in between, so work that one out for yourself, and I really enjoyed every last one of them (yum yum), and if I had my life over again I'd do it all again, in fact it would probably be more as I missed out on a few. Most were done in my younger years, I slowed down as I got older.

To me sex is just sex, making love is something different.

By the way I am a female, but I think like a bloke, so that might be why, who cares I dont.

I seriously wish I had higher figures and a better attitude when younger ... I might've had second thoughts about some of my decisions! I have taken the sex thing far too seriously for my liking at times - and there were some brilliant opportunities! so I would encourage lots of SAFE fun!

Altho I am 35 yrs, and yes if you good at maths I started when I was 15, (gasp horror)

Libb - safe sex was always on my list, no flying jacket no sex, simple. And yes I alway made sure I had a condom with me at all times , as I said sex is just sex, making love now that is a different thing altogher.

With sex you and just jump a guys bones and be done, no real thought has to go into it really, where as making love, well you want to please both you and he, and want to really enjoy it and for it to be special. NomDePlume You with me??

Agree with the sex / ML thing, it seemed to be all about notches on your tomahawk (or bedpost, or whatever your notch collecting recepticle of choice is), but it's more about the feeling and the emotion of it nowadays. TBH, I wouldn't be shocked at 50+ over one year. If you are single and safe I see no probs with having a one night stand a week. Now I have DD and DH it's a totally different kettle of fish, but I don't see the harm in a single person practising safe sex as often as he/she chooses. If that makes me a loony liberal slapper, then print me up a name tag !

My best mate is something else when it comes to numbers but never blurs the lines between sex and making love - personally I think I have been too serious and wish I had grabbed the opps when they were there! I still havent made the average !

Just a little above average , which will do for me!! I've had 7 and I think DP has had 5, so I hope he doesn't feel the need to catch up, I won't be mentioning this to him!!! Although one of them would just about add up to the .2 statistic wise!!

The way I interpret those statistics is that there are a few girls putting out all the time, so to speak, where as a higher percentage of women must be a little under average!!

I am by no means a prude but tbh I was glad I didnt sleep with some of the guys I 'ended' up with. Most prob got known as a prick tease. But i 'used' to be gorgeous so who cares!
