I think to be more meaningful the averages need to be age specific
eg the older generation probably had lots less and the 20 yr olds probably haven't finished yet etc

I am not embarrassed at all but one for me only, so someone else can have my extra 5.2! And, as far as I now (I'll kill him if he has been cheating!) only the one for DH too, so looks like someone's had a whopping share of his too. We got together at school, aged 16 so not really that suprising our figures are so low!

The statistics could be accurate if those men are having sex with other men. Especially if you include in your average out of men who've had LOADS of male partners.

Having said that, I think it's a bit of economy with the truth on both sides.

Whatever way you count 'it' (do you count...er, no not going there, honestly) I think I account for rather a lot of celibates too.
