Partner slept in bed with another woman

Don't even know how to explain this - apparently on a group night with work friends out my partner (we don't live together) walked home with a female colleague who fancies him, he let her in - they were very drunk, she came in with him, he thought she would sleep on sofa but she got into bed with him.

He was apparently too tired to argue so let her sleep in the bed. Nothing happened, or so he says. He didn't tell me this for six months.

Would you believe nothing happened? Could you continue the relationship? I just don't know what to do.

He's telling you now because he wants you to end it.

Do people really do this?! Obviously they do bc so many PPs have said it but really?! Why not just end it if they know they don't want to be in the relationship anymore? Obviously I'm very naive!

Some blokes don't like to be in the wrong and do the dumping, so they behave badly until they get dumped.

I'm another who has shared a bed with a male friend and nothing happened. AND I didn't tell DP for a while. It just seemed like nothing worth mentioning. Then a friend of his shared a bed with a woman and said nothing happened so DPs friends were all gossiping, saying of course something must have happened. I did pick the worst time to mention in front of DPs friends that I shared a bed with male friend with whom nothing happened, just to make a point in the conversation. Again, just because I didn't think anything of it. DP played it cool but I think he was a little hurt. Still, he trusted me and never mentioned it again. We've been together 18 years now. That was about 1 year in. I'm so glad he trusted me.
