I love my music and have been listening to the Foo Fighters "Best of You" this morning. Cant decide if I think its a wallow/progress song!

I'll try anything at this point. Feeling stuck, and a little hopeless things will get any better.

Almost 2 years separated (Sep) and still feel stuck in 2015....Sad

Barbara Streisand/Donna Summers no more tears.

MajesticWhine · 17/05/2017 23:41

An obscure song by Brand New Heavies called Stay Gone

Want2beme · 17/05/2017 23:47

Pink, Who Knew - as it was the 1st song I sang along to on the radio after months of not listening to music.

D Train, You're The One for Me - as it's so dam funky!

Want2beme · 17/05/2017 23:49

Damn!

BEST THREAD EVER!

I love a feisty, spirit-lifting, sod-you song. There are some great suggestions on here already. Pink's "Funhouse" album came out at the same time I was divorcing my twat of a first husband and every song on there helped me.

But a song nobody ever heard is Slovenia's entry in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. It's called "No One" and is SO feisty.

Gosh thanks everyone for sharing!!
NcAlmont & Butler, forgot all about that one.
There are so many songs on rhis thread I've never heard of. YouTube will get a good going over tomorrow.

I've been playing old REM stuff today...and Radiohead. Has been therapeutic.

Counselling starting soon, hoping for some tools to help me forgive not only him, but me too. To learn to be kinder to myself.

Not a massive U2 fan, but this song, Stuck in a moment, inspired me to leave a grim situation. It's just a moment; this time will pass.

I'm not afraid of anything in this world
There's nothing you can throw at me that I haven't already heard
I'm just trying to find a decent melody
A song that I can sing in my own company

I never thought you were a fool
But darling, look at you
You gotta stand up straight, carry your own weight
These tears are going nowhere, baby

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment and now you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better now you're stuck in a moment
And you can't get out of it

I will not forsake, the colours that you bring
But the nights you filled with fireworks
They left you with nothing
I am still enchanted by the light you brought to me
I still listen through your ears, and through your eyes I can see

And you are such a fool
To worry like you do
I know it's tough, and you can never get enough
Of what you don't really need now... my oh my

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment and now you can't get out of it
Oh love look at you now
You've got yourself stuck in a moment and now you can't get out of it

I was unconscious, half asleep
The water is warm till you discover how deep...
I wasn't jumping... for me it was a fall
It's a long way down to nothing at all

You've got to get yourself together
You've got stuck in a moment and now you can't get out of it
Don't say that later will be better now
You're stuck in a moment and you can't get out of it

And if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if our way should falter
Along the stony pass

And if the night runs over
And if the day won't last
And if your way should falter
Along the stony pass
It's just a moment
This time will pass

MumBod thanks so much for the introduction to Lucinda - so ashamed I was completely ignorant of her. She is amazing.

MumBod · 19/05/2017 06:44

I'm wandering between Ella Henderson Ghost and Adele set fire to the rain, but I'm a bit all over the place, but they say how I'm feeling. Hoping to graduate to some more fuck you and fuck off soon, this threads given me a good few ideas!

Justbreaking · 22/05/2017 12:58

Cher - strong enough - proper kick ass GTF lyrics
