One word to describe your marriage...?

Just for fun/interest.

My dh asked me for one word to describe our marriage (inspired by a question on Broadchurch) and I went for 'challenging' - not meant in a negative way but from this being my third marriage (divorce, widowed), his second, we both have children/adult children from previous marriages, work, money and all that. And sometimes I find it challenging because he is so nice to me and I am not used to that! We have a great life with the normal ups and downs.

I asked him and he said 'A Work In Progress', which is four words! However forgiving him for that, I do get where he is coming from with having to put effort into our relationship and not just coasting. We have had some interesting times over our five years together and some changes to deal with but really do try and bring the focus back to just him and me when we can.

Your marriage/relationship in one word?

Complete

As in it makes me feel complete, not because I don't 'do' being alone or single but he just feels like the missing puzzle piece that I needed in my life.

Just asked dh - he says 'nice' (despite the fact that having a dc with SN is very tiring for us both).

I am discussing this with my DH now. There are so many words we could use. I'm feeling emotional as we've been through so much....

Still in discussion, be right back Grin

FellOutOfBed2wice - that's fabulous and so not boring.

I also love your name, esp. if it's a reference to The Smiths song...

I typed the first word that came to mind pretty fast - Loving. Then copied ADisappearing and texted DH. His response? Loving.

Yep, guess me and my hunnybunny hubby were meant to be said with a giant cringeGrin
