How to tell my bf I can't handle how he eats?

He is lovely and I love him but I can't stand how he eats! He is a noisy eater and I have to tell him as it something I just can't handle! But I don't want to be rude or mean or upset his feelings Confused

Then yeah he needs to either put in ear plugs or leave the room. It's his problem, in the same way it's my problem.

There are lots of coping strategies out there, Facebook groups for people with misophonia and for the families of people with misophonia.

Had a word with OP today. With every year that passes he becomes a little less inhibited. This is NOT A GOOD THING. Think Friday Night Dinners. I've asked him to stop twirling his cutlery between mouthfuls, and to avoid touching every piece of food on his plate half a dozen times before eating it. Think of someone walking their fingers across a box of chocolates deciding which to eat... It's a bit like that.

Often it's not misophonia, though. Some people are just really noisy eaters who eat with their mouths open!
