Also think Still should shorten his user-name. Tis too long....

Seth is an absolute sweetheart ;)

AnyFucker · 16/08/2016 18:41

We need to get Gasman on here too. Get some of those Pokey things swopped.

heknowsmysinsheseesmysoul · 16/08/2016 18:41

Thanks for the reply AF. I'm relieved you said you find it a bit weird sometimes as that's what I've thought at times but wouldn't say it on a thread as would be crucified!.

The responses to you do fascinate me from a psychological perspective and I often think I could come up with a case study but I doubt anyone outside of MN would want to read it!

StillDrSethHazlittMD · 16/08/2016 18:42

So pissed, AF, you got the name the wrong way around

Glitter Am I??

AnyFucker · 16/08/2016 18:46

So I did, Seth. How ungentlemanly of you to point that out.

Jess, we might need to talk. Massive waving red flag

There are only two people who matter on this thread, usual - the rest of us are just chaperones.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 16/08/2016 18:48

heKnows I like very much that you thanked AF for her response. I nominate for future Newsnight presenter - much nicer than that James WhatHisName who my mum fancies

I don't think it's a private party, usual. I'd hate anyone to feel left out.

Glitterpegs · 16/08/2016 19:06

Yes you are Seth

A sweetheart Flowers

AnyFucker · 16/08/2016 19:08

I never said I was a laydee, Seth Smile

StillDrSethHazlittMD · 16/08/2016 19:08

No idea why you think that Glitter but thank you

heknowsmysinsheseesmysoul · 16/08/2016 19:09

Pacific - it is fascinating. You can have a thread with 30 responses all saying the same thing then AF posts and says the same thing which is followed by lots of 'I agree with AF' posts not 'I agree with PP'.

And the people who think AF not posting on a thread means it's probably a troll. Plus all the 'I imagine AF is.., had a dream about AF. ..whenever I'm faced with a situation I think 'what would AF do?, it should be printed on mugs and tonnes of MNetters would buy'.

There was a deleted horrible thread a few months ago which was started by someone basically saying they hated her and there were many supportive posts but a few which were a bit ...odd but I hesitate to use that word as I don't want to minimise how people feel but one example post said 'I would give my life for AF'. I think that's an incredible thing to say about someone you don't know and testament to the emotion she appears to create.

It is fascinating that someone on an anonymous forum appears to have so much power in influencing people's responses and their lives, in many cases. And not just in a 'I got great advice" way but an 'I got advice from AF which must be correct/superior because it's AF' way.

And this is not any kind of criticism of AF and I've never thought she encourages this adulation nor have I ever seen her thinking that her opinions/views are more valid than others nor using her 'status' to influence others. It's a phenomenon not of her creation and has a life of it's own.

Sorry AF seeming to 'talk' about you as of you're not here!, I know you're here but it really fascinates me!.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 16/08/2016 19:10

Oi, Glitter, you're de-railing the thread!

Green-eyed monster showing there, Jess?

AnyFucker · 16/08/2016 19:14

< whistles>

Thanks for saying I don't curry favour heknows

I have an opinion like everyone else and not afraid to use it. I do seem to have a knack of getting to the crux of the matter with the least syllables used. Not all will agree of course.

AnyFucker · 16/08/2016 19:16

Fight, fight. Grin

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 16/08/2016 19:16

Absolutely not. You have made astonishingly rude and disparaging remarks about the lack of culture amongst 'my people' today (flounces off)
