Should I ask him up here?

Look I know it's Sunday and the sun is shining.. But pleease I need some encouragement . I posted my story on 'what's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you?' thread yesterday and feel it's time to look wider for help.

Cutting long story short - bloke I fancy lives in garden flat below me. Pretty sure he's single, another neighbour reckons so too. Me, hung washing out on my balcony (mostly undies), windy day, they all flew off and landed in his garden downstairs. I plucked up the nerve to go down there ask him if I could get them, he agreed very nicely offered to help. I refused it and sprinted through his place, to garden, picked, (I thought), all my washing up and was leaving hurriedly, managed to catch bra strap in door handle, they all fell on his floor and I banged head on his living room door. I gathered up all items again and ran home burning with embarrassment.

Day later, knock on door, I answered in old jogging bottoms, filthy old vest, and cat shit, litter tray shovel in my hand. It was him, with a pair of my huge, grey baggies in his hand. He gave them (lovely smile) to me, and made a witty remark. Told me his name and that he's a plumber etc.. I, through half-opened front door , snatched nix off him, in tears of embarrassment. He left saying if he found anymore he'd bring them back..

Anyhow couple of days on and I'm calm and looking incredibly gorgeous, his car is downstairs and I have leaking tap. Should I ask him up here???? If so, how?? WTF do I say??

Oooooh, I love this thread!!! (my joiner became my boyfriend for 18 months, I have form)

It's a Sunday night at home - and you've seen him today already. Just wear something YOU feel good in. Don't need to dress up.

Good luck!

And though it's a fab story, you don't have to carry it on just because of that. You can have a nice evening but leave it at that, if you want to.

Hobbitwife001 · 17/05/2015 18:41

I am excited for you, hope you have a nice evening, he does sound nice, Grin

Magmatic80 · 17/05/2015 18:42

GingerbreadBaubles · 17/05/2015 18:45

GingerbreadBaubles · 17/05/2015 18:46

Songs of praise.. Bloody phone

DextersMistress · 17/05/2015 18:54

sourdrawers · 17/05/2015 19:01

Have to go now, being serious, as I'm sure you'll all detect? Thanks so much for all the encouragement.

He is lovely, bald but sexy with it, a bit like Patrick Stewart crossed with David Miliband.. Will get to you later. It's 7...

TrulyTurtles · 17/05/2015 19:12

Aw a "meet cute". What would the title of this film be? Who is playing hot plumber and ditsy but lovely op?

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 17/05/2015 19:12

It's a bit like an upside down Esiotrot :o with pants instead of tortoises.

Love it :)

Trebushay · 17/05/2015 19:12

See I said it was worth popping down did you use the line about leaking in his flat? I feel partly responsible for egging you on but really pleased you had a surprise Sunday date!

Hope the pasta is good and you at least make friends with a neighbour (and check out his plumbing at some point)

Trills · 17/05/2015 19:13

Patrick Stewart crossed with David Miliband

You're Team David in the Milifandom rivalry then?

PinkSquash · 17/05/2015 19:21

Aww, hope he is enjoying the pasta! Grin

LineRunner · 17/05/2015 19:24

I'm still shagging having a meaningful relationship with the lovely man who fixed my burst pipes two tears ago. I think I answered the door in manky old jeans and a torn checked shirt. He says he was smitten.

LineRunner · 17/05/2015 19:25

Erm, that would be 'two years'...

Lipgloss74 · 17/05/2015 19:39

Loving this post- can't wait for an update! XSmile

Chipshopninja · 17/05/2015 19:44

Hoping op sneaks off to the loo and we get an update.....

PlumFairy2014 · 17/05/2015 20:05

What a lovely post!

Hope it goes well OP. :)

newnamesamegame · 17/05/2015 20:06

This is great.
FWIW in my experience men don't really give a toss what your undercrackers are like. If they fancy you they fancy you, grey y-fronts or Victoria's Secret.

Findingme40 · 17/05/2015 20:47

Oh how exciting. Hope it all goes well, you've made my day reading this!

lunar1 · 17/05/2015 20:58

I love this stage, all the anticipation!! I had a lot of fun with a joiner I met in similar circumstances in my single days. Can't wait for the update.
