Should I ask him up here?

Look I know it's Sunday and the sun is shining.. But pleease I need some encouragement . I posted my story on 'what's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you?' thread yesterday and feel it's time to look wider for help.

Cutting long story short - bloke I fancy lives in garden flat below me. Pretty sure he's single, another neighbour reckons so too. Me, hung washing out on my balcony (mostly undies), windy day, they all flew off and landed in his garden downstairs. I plucked up the nerve to go down there ask him if I could get them, he agreed very nicely offered to help. I refused it and sprinted through his place, to garden, picked, (I thought), all my washing up and was leaving hurriedly, managed to catch bra strap in door handle, they all fell on his floor and I banged head on his living room door. I gathered up all items again and ran home burning with embarrassment.

Day later, knock on door, I answered in old jogging bottoms, filthy old vest, and cat shit, litter tray shovel in my hand. It was him, with a pair of my huge, grey baggies in his hand. He gave them (lovely smile) to me, and made a witty remark. Told me his name and that he's a plumber etc.. I, through half-opened front door , snatched nix off him, in tears of embarrassment. He left saying if he found anymore he'd bring them back..

Anyhow couple of days on and I'm calm and looking incredibly gorgeous, his car is downstairs and I have leaking tap. Should I ask him up here???? If so, how?? WTF do I say??

OP posts:

When he was finished with them, he had a look at them, said sorry, gave them back to me and grinned.

If OP was making it up, she'd have said the plumber sniffed them too before giving them back. Accordingly, I'm inclined to believe the story is true. I mean, I've seen films where the plumber ends up attending to more than her kitchen pipework, so it must be true. Oh - and the plumber is always well endowed in these films too.

Just to say.... My creative writing skills are piss poor, you can all trust my posts 100%.

Why do people who are able to write (believable) fiction waste their time on here?? Go write a book!!

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 22/05/2015 12:58

Oh, Pisp that's scary!!!

BoreOfWhabylon · 22/05/2015 13:01

Pispcina · 22/05/2015 13:02

I know. Obviously sitting there rubbing his thighs for hours on end. Then thought he might have got lucky with actually going to someone's house.

I could be entirely wrong but it stinks to high Heaven imo

wideboy26 · 22/05/2015 13:04

Well, girls, you've had your fun, but it seems you've all been had!

Pispcina · 22/05/2015 13:10

Yes, Wideboy, you did a fairly good job of it didn't you.

thebeesankles · 22/05/2015 13:11

I'm really surprised that this thread was taken so seriously. There was a tone of fiction to the writing from the very start.
I have followed the thread to see what the OP would come up with next as it was quite entertaining (I have a dull life Grin)
I'm not sure if the op has actually done anything wrong though? She has kept everyone entertained and hasn't asked anything of anyone. I mean she hasn't invented a perilous situation for herself and convinced people to go dashing to her rescue or anything.
I'm thinking out loud really but none of us know the accuracy of any threads on here. Sometimes many details may be changed to protect identities or facts may be embellished or played down to gain sympathy towards a posters perspective. People may be much younger or older or even a different gender to who they purport to be online. I'm cynical by nature but I encourage anyone reading anything online to be cautious and take MNHQ advice of not over-investing or giving more of yourself than you can afford to. After all it's what we preach to our kids all the time.

Pispcina · 22/05/2015 13:11

(joke)

thebeesankles · 22/05/2015 13:14

Cross post pispcina now that is very worrying.

wideboy26 · 22/05/2015 13:15

Oooh Pipscina - how very dare you! But I can take a joke.

My dad was a plumber. And he used to come home from work very tired. Hmmm...

ItsRainingInBaltimore · 22/05/2015 13:15

But she has a pretty extensive posting history and her posts seem so er...normal. Confused Usually if you are a troll just going through the motions to build up a bit of a persona/posting history before you hit people with the biggie, you keep it simple and uninvolved, but the OP seems to have a proper (non-drama llama) posting trail behind her, with a (non-drama llama) backstory.

Most odd. Confused

Summertimeplease · 22/05/2015 13:16

Even the first post was so unlikely, the underwear story alone apart from the hunky plumber and convenient leaky tap.

And the description of the sex was far TMI for my tastes.

I wonder what happens in the end.

ItsRainingInBaltimore · 22/05/2015 13:18

I must admit, I did do a bit of a Hmm face at the 'tears of embarrassment'
in the OP.

It was him, with a pair of my huge, grey baggies in his hand. He gave them (lovely smile) to me, and made a witty remark. Told me his name and that he's a plumber etc.. I, through half-opened front door , snatched nix off him, in tears of embarrassment.

I know it's embarrassing, but hardly enough to make you cry, surely? Confused

Pispcina · 22/05/2015 13:19

Sorry Wideboy. Times like this I start to suspect everyone Grin

Baltimore - the posts aren't normal. Many of them contain references to underwear and similar. There are some normal ones too of course.

EnjoyTheSimpleThingsInLife · 22/05/2015 13:20

I started reading this thread yesterday and straight away thought it was made up. Especially as 'she' needed encouragement from people on here and what to wear/say etc but had the confidence to get on his knee and snog him?? Yes ok then Hmm

Good story though!!

ItsRainingInBaltimore · 22/05/2015 13:21

Does anyone remember KnockRaven and her pilot/successful entrepreneur or whatever he was, with the Aston Martin, who she opened the door to in her negligee and he picked her up and carried her to the bedroom?

Great pile of old shite.

Pispcina · 22/05/2015 13:26

Yes sadly I remember that one too.

HollyJollyDillydolly · 22/05/2015 13:39

Aww not reaL? Shame. Was fun anyway!

Koalafications · 22/05/2015 13:41

The missing finger is an odd additional detail for a fake thread.

AoifeBell · 22/05/2015 13:46

Very true koala. I wonder how he lost it Grin

Lweji · 22/05/2015 13:49

I thought the missing finger would be great for puns, particularly in relation to Little Finger in GoT.

PushingThru · 22/05/2015 13:59

Who makes up a Patrick Stewart / David Miliband hybrid with a missing finger; that's demented!Grin

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 22/05/2015 14:01

Someone with a missing finger who sees himself that way I guess...............

Koalafications · 22/05/2015 14:17

Ah yes, good point Saga
