Should I help bullied girl?

There is a girl at my school who seems to be being bullied quite a bit. For instance, the other day, people tore her bag so that it is effectively broken and then pushed her down. Also, rumours about her are being spread. I have never been bullied if fact some of the bullies are my friends. So far, I have just watched the situation from afar and not intervened. However, I get the sense that I should do something?

Well done op. We have a baby on the way and I'd hate to think of them being bullied at school. These people are not worth having as friends.

SomethingOnce · 13/02/2015 22:28

How did it go, OP?

I was bullied at school and it would have helped so much to know that even one person thought I didn't deserve it. When everyone stands by and does nothing, even if they don't laugh along, it's really hard for victims to hold onto the belief that the bullying is wrong. I'm in my 30s now and still half-expect any new group of people to dislike me on sight. With distance I can believe that most people in my school didn't hate me, but at the time I felt so alone.

Morning all,

Sorry to say it but this thread was started by a previously banned poster who managed to sneak back in.

We'd usually zap such a thread, but it seems a shame when so many of you have taken the time to post their experiences and offer advice that may be useful to others.

We're happy to let it run for now.

No doubt, this will be an example of as Saint Bernard of Clairvaux said 'the path to hell being paved with good intentions' and me being irrational but I have to do something.

LOL well I wish I'd read that comment before I posted, then I might have smelt a rat a bit sooner. What kind of schoolgirl speaks like that? Hmm

Endler32 · 14/02/2015 10:43

I did think the same, it didn't sound like a young girl Sad

Hopefully the advice on this thread will help someone as I'm sure this happens a lot in schools.

A fake? Dammit.... Didn't pick up on that at all.

Thumbwitch · 14/02/2015 11:46

Bloody trolls! but still, I hope that someone else gets help from the thread.

BuzzardBird · 14/02/2015 12:37

I did think it was weird that she was posting during school hours but didn't want to appear mean by bringing it up.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 14/02/2015 19:38

Oh. How sick and twisted can people be. Making up stories about bullying when children have tragically ended their lives due to this torture!.
I wouldn't have even got on to the time though and let's not forget we don't know where in the world people or posting from do we or what time it is there.
