Condoms, such a passion killer

Hello! :D

Condoms are bloody awful! Well, at least, the ones I use are... Can anyone recommend any good condoms that don't restrict movement and cause dryness?! Have tried lubricant too but I'm scared it'll make the condom slip off. They become so awkward that in the end the feeling just goes and is a massive turn off... I can understand why people think sod it and go without - resulting in pregnancy! He can't feel anything through the condom either :/ total passion killer lol

Not ready for kids yet... but have been on the pill for about 8 years now and I'm so forgetful it's becoming unreliable :/ don't want any accidents!

I stopped taking the pill 13 months ago to TTC and then my mum died about three weeks later so we decided to wait a few months and use condoms in the meantime.
We were useless with them. just got carried away or hated them because we liked going from oral to PIV and back (sorry if TMI). Anyway, we have a lovely 5 week old DS- just a few months sooner than we had planned

I truely don't feel the same OP. I have always insisted on condoms as well as whatever else I've used over the years. Less unpleasant post sex in my opinion. We mostly get Durex but have used other brands. DH has the snip and we still use them 95% of the time.

I don't mind condoms either. Better than all the alternatives afaic.

I loathe condoms as a necessary evil - obviously they're a darn sight better than stds and unwanted prwgnancy, but they are a pain and really ruin the moment for me. I can see why so many of 'the youth of today' don't bother to use them BUT...
You can use lube with them - makes it much nicer! Astroglide is good. Also, if you don't mind hormonal Contraception but don't fancy the pill anymore, I know several people who swear by the implant ( or a mirena) of course these don't agree with everyone, but worth a go perhaps?

We've found it LOT easier post the snip. Saves teh pause while its found and put on etc too. Now have a wet patch to deal with though!
