what is your most WTAF break up?

Here are mine.. lovely boyfriend. Really lovely. Relationship was going swimmingly or so I thought. . He lost his job so I lent him some money on the proviso that he paid me back when his dole (as it was commonly known then) came through.
He was very honorable about this and met me on 'giro' day. As I could see his was struggling I said 'look if this is difficult then why not give me half now and half in two weeks'. To which he replied. ' Ahh the thing is frog I wont actually be here in 2 weeks I am moving to gran canaria' and he did. Poof! Gone!
The other that sticks in my mind is a boyfriend of six months. .again in my mind going well.. turned up on my doorstep for a date. . With all my possessions in a little bag. No pre emptive 'we need to talk' just a 'hi frog this isn't working out for me'
Possessions btw were just shower gel n shit. Like on SATC . I didn't scarily try and move in by stealth.
Strangely ... or not. . These were lovely clean break ups even though my heart broke at the time.

Stuff my story Zebra - I am open mouthed at yours? And great imagery on gritted teeth/stabbing each other with tent poles/not swearing in front of the kids tent dismantling.

Hope you are happy now Zebra.

Zebra that is so gobsmacking! Are they now happily married? Blimey those tents have very thin walls! I can't believe you didn't turn into a murderous tent pole wielding murderer!

Lied & swindled through 2 years of divorce (xh I mean).

Moved in with her after 6 months. I've only spoken to him once since. I do not wish to breathe the same air.

Not sure I'm happy yet,but am getting there.

Zebra Shock wow. That's so awful. I feel daft posting mine... poor you!

My ones a bit stupid really but it might make you laugh. I was about 15 so was he. He was my first boyfriend. We had been on a few "dates" (usually other people's house hang outs) and he rang me last night and agreed to come round to mine the following day. I had a long chat with him on the phone and the next day I got all dressed up, my mum knew he was coming etc big deal.

Anyway time came and went. And nothing. Not a phone call either. He clearly wasn't coming.

I rang his house. His brother answered (much older than we were) and said he was sorry but so and so didn't want to see me anymore and had got his best friend to ring! - who sounded the same on the phone.

I felt like an absolute fool. Especially as we all knew each other and hung out together.

Oh well.

I've also been divorced twice but they were sad and boring and miserable in comparison Grin

Zebra Shock! I'm so sorry that happened to you. What a pair of heartless articles.

Not mine, but my Dsis. She was dumped by someone she had been seeing for a few months with the amazingly narcissistic line: 'I have tried. Really I have. But I just can't bring myself to be interested in you. You may have noticed that I never ask you much about yourself. It's because I don't really care. I am not really interested in anyone apart from myself'

Then when she asked why he had bothered going out with her for months with this knowledge he said 'I like your face and your body'

She was categorically not upset about this. He did her a favour!

latest bloke just disappeared into thin air! All fine last time I saw him, then he just never rang or turned up again, after six months of seeing each other. hurtful.

still not on the scale of XH announcing out of the blue that he no longer loved me and walking out.

when I was 16 my bf dumped me and then turned to my mate who was sat beside me and asked her out Shock and she said yes! Shock.

Was seeing a boy, I think we were both around 17/18. All was going great for about 2 weeks. One night we went out to the local night club and he just right there and then stopped talking to me. I, like a fool, tried to jolly him into talking to me, what had I done etc etc. But that was it we never spoke again.

I saw him about 15 years later at a weight watchers meeting, a man spoke up asking about what digestives could he eat on the diet. I thought he sounded familiar and sure enough it was him. I got my chance this time round to raise my head and walk on by saying nothing Grin I do like a good grudge!

My ex and I had been together a few years, all happy and content (as far as I knew) and were trying for a baby.

I came home and thought we had been burgled because the tv was gone. Then I realised that everything that was his had gone - down to his nutella out the cupboard.

He only got in touch when I threatened to turn up at his parents - it turned out he had been shagging a colleague and loved her not me. Oh, and I also discovered he had been shagging prostitutes when I hacked into his emails to find out what was going on.

I know that I dodged a bullet with him, but I am still single now 4 years on because I'm scared shitless at falling to pieces the way I did when he left. It terrifies me how someone could lead such a convincing double life.

Someone I used to know told me that when she split up with her then H he took a chain saw to the household furniture, cutting everything in half. It made one of the red top newspapers. Back in the 80s' I think it was.

I've split up with someone because I didn't like his shoes. I was 14 though Grin

I'd been seeing a guy for 6 weeks or so, and he was supposed to meet me from the cocktail bar I worked in. I left the bar, went and got changed, sat at the bar waiting and he never showed. Never answered the phone to me again.

A few months later a colleague admitted he knew him from school, and the chap had turned up, but my darling colleague had told him I was post op transgender, 'for a laugh'.

Wankers the pair of them.

I was seeing someone for about 6 months, all going well when he just disappeared. Off the grid. About 6 months later, in bed with new and rather fabulous bf, both asleep when the phone rang and it was the previous one. It was about 3 in the morning.

First, I didn't recognise his voice, second I said to get off the phone as I had a new bf - and the old one started shouting at me I was a slut and we had been getting on so well! Apparently he'd been in HK on business. I see. I put the phone down on him and tried explaining to the now awake and annoyed bf all the while the phone ringing until I turned it off.

I was dating a chap as he didn't believe in sex before marriage ( he was 35) and I did. ( still do, for that matter) and over dinner, a few months in, he said he dealt with his urges by going to massage parlours, which he felt didn't count. He was amazed when i finally found my voice and said its over. Apparently other women understood. He was very rich though.

I did drop a bf as a teen as my df did a song and dance routine owing to bf strange name which caused my df much merriment - it was too embarrassing every time he came round.

Fiancé was working away for two weeks, came back and said "we need to talk" feeling stressed about wedding want to postpone....... Over the space of weekend it became not sure I want to get married, no wedding but I still want to be with you, not sure I want to be with you, I don't want to be with you and then the final lowest blow..... Here is a list of the awful things you have done that have given me depression (things like not answering the phone one night during his two weeks away etc). I was beside myself with what a dreadful person I was........ Yeah he was shagging some tart at work. We work for the same company! During the week long break up/separating stuff he said some awful things to me:

"I've just realised I'm probably your last chance to have a baby - oh well"
"I wonder if people at work will realise that I've dumped you and you are the heartbroken one" (I am massively senior to him at work, clearly insecure about how he is seen)

Within four weeks, begging to come back! Humiliating himself at work meals and functions by practically stalking me! I'm very happy now with a wonderful guy and a gorgeous newborn baby boy and still wonder how I let that little weasel make me feel like that! Wanker!!

Success is the best revenge!!!

When he jumped out of the bed, post-sex, grabbing his trousers and rushing to find his shoes because he was late to his own wedding.

We had been together for six months and I had NO idea! I had even stayed at their house. Hmm

One I dumped, we'd been dating (not shagging amazingly as he was a fitness instructor and fit as ----!!!), he told me one night that he needed to tell me something. I was expecting the dumping convo, but no. He was addicted to cocaine and slept with prostitutes Shock WTF?! I told him to get clean and call me. A year to the day he did call but I was in bed with someone else...

Another would call or text 200 times a day, literally. He'd skype in evenings if we were apart. I was looking at his FB pics, he told me to as they were him with his old dog that he missed as ex took it. I asked on the phone if a woman in one was his ex, he said yes. Just curiosity on my part. I woke up to the longest text ever saying I was too clingy and blah blah blah!

He took a huff when I blocked and deleted him and ignored his begging texts after. Go me!
