They were worried by what I said, and by my upset, and are sending someone round. Absolutely shit scared about how STBXH will react. Hand hold please...

And he will feel injured when you expect him to do what he has promised. How could you? How unreasonable can you possibly be? It is a completely alien way of thinking, but once you build it in to your own psyche - know that that is how it is - it is in some small measure easier to cope with.

Well done for getting the police involved. He sounds like a complete bastard and even if you don't worry about DC physical safety around him you need to protect them emotionally from him as he's already shown that he doesn't care about their feelings by telling them about the police's involvement just to make you look like the bad guy.
