Mine and OH are 12 years apart. I'm 21 and he's 33.

His mum and dad have a similar gap!

18 years here, he's older. Didn't affect us for the first few years but we are 5 years in now and the gap is beginning to show a bit. I wouldn't do it again I don't think.

22 years. I'm the older one, it's worked for almost 9 years now.

He's 10 years older (I'm 41, he's 51)

One aspect that the gap affects currently is that he is very interested in retirement but I am still a long way off and perhaps peaking in my career so I feel we are at very different stages work-wise. It's not a problem but it could be and I'm not sure about the prospect of me continuing to work for 10 years whilst he's retired. We are planning to avoid that scenario if possible but as he doesn't want to work longer, it means me giving up early!

Wow amanda I was just going to brag about my 11 yr age gap, (I'm older) it's never been an issue although I sometimes wonder if it will be, you have allayed those slight fears

My DH is 27 years my senior. He's in his sixties and I'm in my thirties. I don't notice the age gap at all...though when I think about the future I get scared. We have a young DS (3 years).

I'm 42, Mr X is 51. I always seem to end up with older blokes, XH is 50 this year.

Dp is 3 years older than I am. He's 41 and I'm 38.

Dh 20 yrs older - I'm 40, he's 60. Dcs 14, 12, 10 and 6.

He's 35 I'm 42 love it!!!

DP is 55, I'm 24, madly in love and very lucky to have wonderful and open-minded family and friends around us.

An old colleague of mine had a massive age-gap between her and her then DH. They were also very happy together.

He's 9 years younger than me

28 years, I'm 22, he's very nearly 50.

Doesn't work for everyone but certainly works for us! We have an 18month old, and my SD who is 12.

No kids together yet, he has two with his ex. We're getting married next year and will hopefully be ttc by the end of 2015.

Did a 16 year gap relationship in past (him older), and I'd have thought twice about that again. It's fine when you are 40 and 56, you are not that different, but there's a hell of a difference between a 75 year old and a 91 year old.
