How long did you wait before DTD?

Ok, in past relationships I've jumped in far too quickly on this front. However, I've met someone I'm really keen on and for some reason I feel like I want to wait longer with him, I've never had this before. I just wondered if anyone else has had this strange phenomenon of liking someone so much you want to wait and make it really meaningful, and how long did you wait?

ive known my boyfriend for 3 months , ,talking online for two of those we had sex on our third date and only once more since then.

3rd date. Didn't know then that it was a thing, was just the first opportunity to be in the vicinity of a bed Wink
1st date was a party, went home alone.
2nd date was lunch a day or so later, went home alone
3rd date was dinner, drinks......

2nd date....but we'd had phone sex & lots of sexting before that (something I've never done before!) - I hadn't even met him in the flesh!

But the connection was great in terms of common interests, experience etc & it just all felt very natural - I wouldn't do anything I wasn't comfortable with.

Our sexual chemistry is amazing - best sex of my life. We've been together now for 14 months & he's lovely...

It was just short of a month with my new man. To be fair, he would have waited longer but I, sort of, inadvertantly propositioned him on Valentines Day Blush

As it goes, it was worth the wait, we have amazing chemistry, a proper connection and are sexually compatible. It is still early days but I am thinking he's 'the one'.
