why isnt life simple

At weekend I went out with my ex it's his birthday soon and although he asked me to the party I'd rather not go. So we went for a drink n catch up, there nothing between us and it wasn't awkward like it was about a year back.
Any way we had a great time , I went to get drinks any way came back and saw bloke I sort of blame for breaking us up which was fine but they were chatting to the bloke of pof , he recognised me my ex went to introduce us but we both said sort of know each other .
After we left my ex says this bloke likes me and he said he had mentioned me a couple times so what was I going to do
Me I haven't a clue ????

Find some different friends perhaps? Leave exes and POF people well and truly in the past and forge a social life where your paths are less likely to cross?

Most of the time life is as simple or as complicated as we choose to make it (acts of God and major life events outside our control notwithstanding).

So is your question really "How can I make my life more simple" or perhaps "How can I widen my circle of friends?"

I think you've posted before. Be honest, is he really your best friend or is there a little part of you that thinks if you hang around long enough he'll say that it was all a big mistake and let's give it anther shot?

One of my good mates got introduced to her current boyfriend by her ex and is now pregnant with their second child. So it can happen.

God know I'd never go back to him ,I love him but as a friend we had good tines a nd he broke my heart if it wasn't for him I'd still be a shy virgin to scared to talk to men.

So the reason you passed up on a perfectly good party where you might meet some new people and broaden your horizons in favour of a one-to-one 'date' with this guy was..... ?

I don't like party's , it wasn't a date it was two mate's having a few drinks .
I have nothing suitable to wear to it and it be odd being there with his new gf

I can't really understand the OP, but if your ex is your only friend then things are never going to run smoothly for you

Find some new friends, detach from the ex then life will get much simpler

Why would it be odd being with his new girlfriend? You're just 'two mates' having a few drinks right? You really need a social life if you're to get out of this situation where your only friends are either an ex boyfriend or randoms on POF.... Go to the party.

I'd say don't go to this particular party, find ways to make new friends and disentangle yourself from this bloke.

Finding friends is hard I don't have money to go out to groups etc .
We get on mate's don't see each other often but I know if I needed help he'd be there.

It be odd as she threatened me last time I saw her but thinking a out it he asked me it's his 30th birthday I got on well with his family and most of his mate's.

If his new girlfriend is hostile then don't go to the party. But do get yourself out there and meet people. Not men necessarily.

Sod the gf blotchy I know but free food and drink and a night out who to argue
