Squeezing thigh - friendly or intimate?

Opinions please - If you were with a group of friends and one of the guys squeezed one of the women's leg under the table would you think there was something going on or would you just think they were drunk and being slightly over friendly? Both married to other people

If someone other than my DH did that I would say loudly "did you mean to squeeze my thigh or have your brain and hands disconnected?".

I had a drunken collegue do this to me once and I jumped out my skin, so obviously other people noticed, he apologised immediately and the next day. I think he was trying his luck. That would be a normal reaction if it was drunkeness IMHO.

Life long friends who've grown up together and openly affectionate. A quick knee squeeze etc not so suspicious but would do it in the open and think nothing of it. Same as putting your arm round a good mate.

Under table, hidden, work collegues, drunk = suspicious!

The further up the leg the more intimate. The more illicit the intension.

My BF did this to a ' friend' in front of me and her husband, the husband was supposed to be his friend from way back but BF seemed to get on much better with her!! We were sitting on a sofa chatting and he reached over and patted her thigh at one point

I was furious and later we had a MASSIVE row about it. But of course it was all me being paranoid, jealous ect ect. Four years down the line I was still paranoid and jealous even though he could convince anyone black was white. Nasty little shit, it was always all my fault. We are no longer together thank god. Oh he's still in touch ( probably literally) with " his friend"
