Whilst I was reading this thread, DH just came over and said good night, he's knackered so he's going up.

I was then struck by the sudden realisation that for the last 14 years that was his 'cue' and I had been cruelly ignoring him by staying downstairs and faffing about whilst he fell asleep. His laughter made it clear that this has not been the case and he really just is knackered.

If we are awake, it's on! Now and then one of us might articulate that we are knackered but that's quite a novelty.

In my experience, the more you have, the more you want. It is easy to slip into the habit of not doing it. If you want more act on it...i find being away from home (in a hotel, not outside!) naturally raises our frequency.
