Wonder if many of us ladies have the same bug bears :)

In no particular order -

  1. Pees on the floor (MISSING THE LOO, NOT PURPOUSLY PEEING ANYWHERE )
  2. Easilly lead by friends
  3. Is a show off in front of people
  4. Does his best to try impress people, wants everyone to like him
  5. His past (know it shouldnt matter but still is in back of my head)
  6. Stroppy
  7. Messy

He's too clever and handsome for me, I constantly have to listen to others praise him then suppress my green eyed monster. Every time I introduce him to a friend they end up getting on with him better (or almost as well).

However, he can be stroppy and sullen sometimes too, and doesnt do much around the flat.

boomoohoo · 22/12/2013 19:57

i too am shocked by some of the arseholish behaviour that is posted under 'bug bears' Sad

are most men really shit? ive met my share of toads (especially ea ex-dp) but with lovely, respectful dp now..

but he aint perfect, heres why:
not seeing mess / dirt
smokes too much

Offred · 22/12/2013 20:07

Just posted on the other thread;

  1. Is quite emotionally immature and sometimes can't handle his feelings in the best way.
  2. Has poor boundaries
  3. Is easily distractible
  4. Can be unreliable
  5. Is sometimes unconfident about himself and so plays to the crowd and works in quite a sexualised/sexist environment.
Offred · 22/12/2013 20:09

Oh and he doesn't like cheese, which to me should be a capital offence.

MerryFuckingChristmas · 22/12/2013 20:17

Offred you accept all that, and stay with him anyway ? Why ? (same question to all the other women on this thread putting up with shit men, not to single you out)

fifi669 · 22/12/2013 20:23

I agree, how can you stay with a man that doesn't like cheese???? Hmm

Offred · 22/12/2013 20:23

He's just a bf I've been seeing for around 3 months, he is only 28 and has not had a grown up relationship before, is willing to accept that he has to change those things and he is firmly on his very last chance. I wouldn't say I could be classed as putting up with it TBF. Casual has suited me since only recently left a marriage. He has many good points.

MerryFuckingChristmas · 22/12/2013 20:25

This is better than your marriage then ? Not quite sure how you work that out, tbh. Do you think you can mould him into a grown up or something ?

Offred · 22/12/2013 20:25

Tis not like he is my husband of 50+ years or anything!

I am resolved to force him to eat cheese. I had a whole Camembert for lunch today, he says I'm a screff.

MerryFuckingChristmas · 22/12/2013 20:26

It's all just light hearted fun about cheese then

Why didn't you say so ? Hmm

Offred · 22/12/2013 20:26

He has to grow up sometime. Not particularly bothered about me moulding him into one. If he doesn't grow up I'll just stop seeing him.

Offred · 22/12/2013 20:27

And yes, vast improvement on the husband... Hmm

fifi669 · 22/12/2013 20:27

Pretty sure not eating cheese is a sign of the devil.... Just saying.

MerryFuckingChristmas · 22/12/2013 20:28

The title of the thread was "other half"

That implies something rather permanent or at least long term

Is he your "other half" Offred ?

Offred · 22/12/2013 20:29

Wow... Ok... I think you're perhaps taking this a little too seriously...

MerryFuckingChristmas · 22/12/2013 20:32

I think you are taking shit behaviour too lightly, but hey, it's not my life.

fiverabbits · 22/12/2013 20:41

FIFI669

I solved the problem of the king size duvet, my DH likes his arms out but his feet covered, I like my arms covered but my feet out. For the last 20 years we have had a single duvet each so we can cover up how we like and it makes the washing much easier as the duvets go in the washing machine. Also it's easier to get the covers on. You can still have a cuddle under a single duvet, just turn one sideways.

KringleCandleLover · 22/12/2013 20:41

Snores.
Leaves sweaty gymkit in the car until it goes mouldy.
Trims his stubble and leaves his hairs on the bedroom floor.
Turns into Barry Gibb when he's angry, excited or displaying any other emotion. Then returns to his normal vocal range when asked if his pants are too tight.
Puts jam AND nutella in his porridge. At the same time.

Offred · 22/12/2013 20:42

I may well be, tis a fair enough criticism, but it was a bit overkill to go off about the oh thing.

Am not afraid to dump him, think apart from the immaturity he is lovely but also think it is fair enough to give him a chance as he says he needs to grow up for himself anyway.

newforest · 22/12/2013 21:39

Nothing - except maybe he doesn't love my cats as much as me! I'm sure he can think of a few things he doesn't like about me though.

He does snore but it doesn't bother me at all. He's brilliant with money (far better than me), rarely drinks and is a great cook.

Ohgrowspair · 22/12/2013 22:53

merry this was supposed to be a lighthearted thread.......

None of the posters have wrote I hate my OH/DH because he is shit and now listen to me moan!

I'm guessing your 'oh' if you have one is ding dong perfect in every frickin way ! Hmm

tiamariaxxx · 22/12/2013 22:57

I starte this thread and yes light hearted :)

OP posts:
MonsterMunchMe · 22/12/2013 23:08

Ummm he snores quite loudly,

is rubbish with money but is open to suggestions about how to be better thank god and always pays his fair share/doesn't take the advantage

He's always to hot in bed, I'm always to cold. Makes me ragey!

He's got one toenail that needs to be sorted out!

Some of these are very Sad

Hohohowhatfuckeryitis · 22/12/2013 23:28

God I need to put my glasses on, I read that the dh had a great cock. actually great cook much more excitingGrin

Ohgrowspair · 22/12/2013 23:36

monster I think we might be sharing oh!

The dodgy toe nail and the night sweats give me the rage too ! Apart from having to clean sheets all the frogging time !
