Feeling invisible .....wave at a mate!

Following on from Trish's good idea (and by request) this thread is the place to play 'bag a buddy' 'wave at a mate' or 'grab someone else's grip for a minute'

The original idea from the invisble thread was that it would be a brilliant idea if people had a friend they could pair up with ....just so someone is going to wave at you when you feel down.
It needed a thread.
This is it .....................

Fright lovely have a good cry, get your pyjamas on and snuggle up. Do something nice for yourself and have a good kip. It won't fix your life but if you can grab some space from it all it'll help. And keep unburdening yourself. It's what us invisibles are here for.

All is quiet here. Kids asleep, husband is out. Time for a big glass of red and some shit telly.

ChairmanWow · 23/10/2013 20:16

Oh and another Yorkshire exile here. Good to see some other Yorkshires on here too. Sending you all a white rose to remind you of home.

UncomfortablyDumb · 23/10/2013 20:21

Thanks for Cat & Fright & Hump and any other CrappyDayWavers Sad

I have no words of wisdom that someone hasn't already said (as usual) but wanted you to know that there are people who care.

(Hump I have never heard that 'not the end' saying before. But love love love it. Thanks)

UncomfortablyDumb · 23/10/2013 20:23

Also Hump I completely understand the beading thing. I think the problem with that is it is possible to start small, fiver here, few quid there and then you turn round and you've got boxes & boxes of the shiny little fuckers everywhere twinkling at you Grin

EauPeanUpTheGatesOfHell · 23/10/2013 20:23

FounD you all ... phew.

WE GOT THE HOUSE Halloween Grin

Looks like we are moving in around 3 weeks Halloween Shock time to pull my finger out and start packing.

Waves like a knobber to everyone.

Annagramma · 23/10/2013 20:26

Oh God...Packing. I never knew how cluttered my (fairly tidy and minimally ornamented) house was, until we had to move!

HaroldLloyd · 23/10/2013 20:31

Sorry your having a crappy time fright if it helps talk to us about it. Thanks

And more Thanks for cat and a random wave for humph.

I am trying to finish urgent work off which didnt get done yesterday as DS got sent home ill from nursery. And worse of all we have run out of Brew which is the petrol which keeps me going, I am in the middle of a mini row about who is going to get more, and not so D P is finding it hilarious to make jokes about teabagging. NOT FUNNY.

ChairmanWow · 23/10/2013 20:31

Congratulations EauPean. You must be thrilled! We moved earlier this year. The build-up was horrendous, not helped by me being heavily pregnant, but sitting there in your new house is bloody amazing.

Are you getting movers in? We did this time due to my pregnancy, having a toddler and the fact we'd amassed a huge amount of stuff. Best decision ever.

HaroldLloyd · 23/10/2013 20:32

I missed that, congratulations EauPea, its that fabulous lucky halloween name I think.

Packing is bloody grim. But how exciting!

UncomfortablyDumb · 23/10/2013 20:35

Yay Eau Grin
The only advice I have, if you're having movers, and you have any spare cash - let them pack for you. Best money I've ever spent.

EauPeanUpTheGatesOfHell · 23/10/2013 20:36

Chairman yes we are getting movers in, got a cracking mates rate deal if we move on a Saturday and not the end of the month. Looked at doing at ourselves but it wouldtake way too many 340 mile round trips, the movers deal is less than half the cost of van hire Halloween Grin

WitchesCatAmongThePhantoms · 23/10/2013 20:40

Flowers to Fright, humph and cat. I hope things turn around tomorrow.

Eau congratulations! Fab news

I loved packing to move house, did it singlehandedly as DH was away for the three months it took us to move. In fact, I loved the process so much I want to move again.

Harold Grin @ tea bagging jokes, my DH would say similar

Oh thats rough Fright. I know what you mean you can be coping with awful things like you are and then something shitty happens and you think ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!

Make sure you look after yourself a little bit too, however you can

EauPeanUpTheGatesOfHell · 23/10/2013 20:45

Cheers Harold and Uncomf in a previous life Dh worked at the company, he is an expert packer (and Christmas present wrapper) so he we will pack ourselves..
Only trouble is Dh has work until mid dec so he will be flat out and sofa surfing Haloween Sad

Sorry you're having such a bad time Fright, we're all here to listen whenever you need it. I've been through some difficult times but have come out the other side far stronger. Would Flowers help?

This is such a friendly thread that I really hope anyone who needs a chat or some new buddies joins. Reprint, I have some glitter pens and paper if you want to borrow them for the card?

EauPea that's great news about your house. What's it like?

HaroldLloyd · 23/10/2013 20:55

I confess I did try and comment on your thread UD but I was a little lost! Grin

hawkeye21 · 23/10/2013 21:12

I wondered where this thread had gone. Never been in Relationships before. Feels a bit scary

Congratulations on the house Eau

HaroldAnyLloydFUCKER · 23/10/2013 21:17

Do you think people have lost us now?

Did you see the thread in chat, AnyFucker has been banned now. Thats not good.

hawkeye21 · 23/10/2013 21:24

I expect some people will have lost us. Only reason I found you was because I had left the thread open when I wandered off.

Maybe we need a thread in chat telling any lost souls where we have gone.

Or perhaps it is just me who is so mn incompetent Blush

Bunting and fireworks for eau !!

I love moving. Two moves ago I said I would never buy another house - lasted about 3 years before I got the bug again. I think packing is easy if you make serious use of a skip.

fright - it is hard when your prop needs propping. My Dc were absolutely amazing for me a few years ago, and it was a first for them that I wasn't the one being the rock. Actually though, it did amazing things for our relationships - sort of put us on a level footing as friends, not just parent/adult child.
I am sure you are being an absolute rock for your family, right now. Flowers Random question ...are you in the US?

Offering you heartfelt sympathy, harold , and some sharp pointy things to poke the DH with. Tea is a very serious subject. I am not human when it is withheld. Not offering a virtual version, as it would just make me cranky in your shoes!

Awww perp thank you for the glittery fun pens and paper. Would start to doodle exciting marketing thingey but dog thinks she is now fully recovered from op, so will probably eat it. Especially if it smells of dribble.

Must admit it didn;t occure to me that people could get lost in transit.
Doesn't everyone have "I'm On" ????
or at least look at the Active list?

Bit bemused.
