I've gone along with a couple of meets with guys who come across as "eccentric" but I've been in quite a "oh what the hell, lets come up with a funny anecdote" frame of mind.

I may have had sex with one of them which was very good

DFU I'll do you too if you PM me, it might take a while though until I'm back on land as the 3G is erratic. the height I'd have thought would be an advantage.

I lied about my age, started off at real age, then had a couple of men say no including the gem "you're lovely but I just can't get past your age", dropped a couple of years at a time until I stuck at 48 (lots of women who claim to be '49'). Otherwise I don't think I'd have got any dates as men my age almost all wanted younger and I just got approaches from 40 something max.

Weeing myself laughing about Mr Phd, and Mr Compliance (but secretly wondering if it would be more fun to like them - without any self-awareness and thereby self-doubt).
Did consider claiming to have a Phd for a nanosecond - then I could claim because I watch University Challenge and quite often get 3-4 Qs an episode right I am actually a professor.

Shortarse club - I quite often get asked to reach stuff from higher shelves in ASDA - sadly not by anyone I fancy yet.
Age - now slightly concerned - ex wife and almost all previous LTRs have been 3-5 yrs younger did have a GF for 2 years or so who was 11 yrs junior (I was 42, she 31) but generally not comfortable with younger women - esp. now I have a DC and am not necessarily looking for any more. Perhaps I need to artificially widen age range (down) to allow for lies.

I have been a little economical with the truth on one site, but then most of the dates I have had have shaved a similar number of years so it all works out in the end!

It doesn't seem to have made much difference, though - all oddballs whichever site and however old!

Hope Snape's going to deliver her verdict on the new DW!

Over sadly the problem with sociopaths is that they are very good lyers, was married to one remember...

I am feeling a bit too tall here, are all the other women on here below 5'3? Maybe that's where I am falling...umm short...when it comes to the dating scene.

So how does one get away with lying on OD? It's not like you aren't going to notice an age or height discrepancy when you meet up on person...

Btw has the 'spud/spudette' issue been closed now?

Overtheraenbow Thanks - don't do "hey sexy' messages - I like to think they are carefully crafted to show off my brilliance whilst illustrating my genuine interest in the recipient, however I strongly suspect that upon viewing my profile they are saying erggh look at that grey/fat/old git or being put off by me having a 5 year old. All of which is perfectly fine of course.

Jo i'd state your height with pride Smile. i remember reading somewhere that if you have something that you think might put off "some" people you should still own it, as you'll then attract the folk you want?

(like its really horrid when you see some asian guys trying to "conceal" their ethnic origin online. ffs? so they're just putting off all those girls who like asian guys and coming across as insecure Confused)

so you might put off some dude who is short and insecure about his height you wouldn't want him anyway though? i don't think loads of guys really pay attention to the number as much as the overall package.

i'm hoping a guy 2 inches taller than me, so shorter than me in heels will text me back next week.

(Envy at your long legs btw)

Exactly DFU if they don't see how fab you are then they are not good enough!! Or at least that's what I tell myself!!

So just been blown out for this week by RG ( nice, seems normal , similar interests more GSM than OKC ) as boldly suggested a meet up ( not me at all) in a gallery but he's taking his daughter away on holiday. He's back when my kids are home so the week ahead and still no dance card marked. Old bloke is looking more attractive by the hour!!

When I was, so much younger than today, the only change I ever wanted to make to my body was longer legs. Now it's way down my list!

Another shortie here 5'2. I'm not fussed about height. Mr R&R is 6ft. I quite like standing on tip toe. Smile

Never lied about my age. The few (5 or 6 I think)men I met whilst ODing had all been honest about age, height etc. Was a bit taken back when I first saw all 6'3 of Mr Fucked up. It wasn't a problem Wink

Out on date 4 with FoF .. We've helped my sister, been to the gym, popped in to my best pals house .. Had a post workout workout and a shower for two.. In a week he has met everyone of importance apart from one sister and lovingfreedom.. Out for dinner just now (he's calling his DDs) everything seems so easy and right :)

STBXH is 5/11, love of my life (blergh) 6/2 and I'd guess all over significant others - she says as if there's Alton Tower-size queues of them - probably averaged 6ft. As well as the tip toes, I also love that there's so much of them, that if you lie toe to toe it can take forever to creep up to their mouths Blush. Short arse Jazz was like a little Ken doll in comparison!
