Yesterday.... Mine....
Angry
Ate a bar of choc that was a present for a neighbour (that I hid in the freezer)
Ate most of my nice olives before I had a chance to have one
Decided to dip ds in the sea in a pair of doodles I had bought the day before (still got soaking wet shoes).
Made a load of mess in the kitchen which I've had to clear up this am on my day off.
Ate the remainder of the bread
I could go on..........

Am I alone?

I am crying here. Seriously deep breath- cannot look for anything shouts randomly "HONEY!!", leaves stuff everywhere and tells me not to move it so he knows where it is -this is usually the kitchen table so ..., makes a rubbish job of the bed, talks about finances on the way to a night out, takes something out the wardrobe or off the rail then leaves it draped on top, can clearly order anything off ebay/Amazon comes to online banking bills "HONEY!!", starts talking about random stuff in the morning before I have had a cup of tea...

Oh good lord Shatners I think our DH might be the same person and therefore a bigamist. Drives me batshit crazy. I threw my toys out of the pram this morning and said that I REFUSED to have any more sodding conversations about sodding garden furniture. His DM can sit on the sodding patio for all I care. But then, if I go ahead and DO stuff I get into trouble!! We're having our first holiday in three years this summer because i just booked it. I said, I'm not talking about it any more, I'm just booking it.

AND, he bites his nails when watching the telly and then FLICKS them.

This morning he got all sulky when I suggested politely (ok, not very politely) that walking across the bedroom while leaving our 13 month old on the changing table was a bit fucking stupid!

  1. Is INCAPABLE of putting the Lurpack back in the fridge after using it.
  2. Always leaves his tea bag in his cup so I have to scoop it out when doing washing up.
  3. Makes tea and toast - but will eat or drink them an hour later as he only eats or drinks them cold.
  4. Doesn't seem able to use a plate to eat toast. Oh. the. crumbs.

As you can tell - most of his annoying things happen in the morning.

'The current annoyance is that he'll ask me, every time, if he needs a jacket when we go out.'

OMG mine does this too! How the jeff should I know whether you need a jacket or not?!

More:

spends far too much fecking time playing on his bloody phone
sings constantly
never ever shuts the sliding mirrored door on the wardrobe, so I turn around to check my reflection and all I can see is a row of his shirts
wears a 'slobbing about' uniform of t-shirt, pants, socks and old man slippers Shock Actually, this one is quite funny but irritates me a bit sometimes too, like please cant you try to look half decent, even if it is only the two of us at home!

Accuses me of not being a team player and then sits on the sofa while I run around like a blue arsed fly getting things ready to go out and when I point out that a bit of help would be nice I get:

"But I was looking after DD" or

"But you didn't tell me what you wanted me to do."

I'm not your sodding mummy gets said A LOT in our house.

Does anyone else want to commit murder at the sound of a windowed envelope having things shoved BACK into it because then he'll chuck it on the hall table and won't forget to do something with it.

It doesn't work, love. In SEVEN years of living with you, I have NEVER seen that work. You still forget. And then you blame me.

This thread is cathartic!

Scratches around in his pants for half an hour every morning while wandering around the house in a manky old dressing gown which process he calls "waking up".

I, in the same time frame, manage to get up, showered and dressed, feed baby and wake and dress toddler.... I see his morning role as provider of amusement!

Ps, whichever PP complained about the waving across the table I think that sounds quite cute!

Report
FederationPresidentBarryFife · 27/06/2013 15:03

Ha ha at the waving!! Grin
I have been wanting to vent these for a while this is the perfect thread for me. My DH:
Brings plates through to the kitchen and puts them ON TOP not in the dishwasher. Why??? It is literally no more effort.
Washes the pots but won't put them away, just leaves them neatly laid out on a tea towel like sacrificial offerings
Gets up and ignores everyone and everything including teh DC who are clamouring in order to have a smelly poo that stinks out the only bathroom
Is a total hypochondriac and HATES it when I am ill. He always comments "hmm I know what you mean" when I tell him I am not feeling well as if he has the same illness but is too brave to mention it.
Same with DD waking in the night. In the mornings, after sleeping like a flippin LOG, he will turn to me and say "how was last night?" I will say I was up at 12, 2 and 4am he ALWAYS says - "not too bad then" or worse - "when I woke up you both seemed sound asleep" GRRRRRRRRR

My BF has a serious problem with closing doors.Angry

Front door. Cupboard doors. Fridge & freezer doors. He leaves them all open. I mean what the fuck is that all about? Makes me feel all stabby just thinking about it.

I have told him that he will never be my DP until he sorts it out.

AND.. he can organise his work life, make huge orders , arrange deliveries, travel all over to do his job but remembering dog food ..it is beyond him

Report
Francagoestohollywood · 27/06/2013 15:11

When he works from home, he seems to occupy both the study, the dining table, the sofa, the bathroom... all at the same time.
He's everywhere! Go back to your office!

What is it with all this scratching around in pants?! I never sit/walk around the house with my hands down my knickers! Shock Grin

Report
newmumsuchfun · 27/06/2013 15:18

this thread is making me laugh - i completely identify with all of the above. especially the 'waking up' that he does while i have been up four hours prior to him being conscious, have looked after baby + tidied the whole house.
and he doesnt notice that i have tidied the whole house - just 'morning, (yawn)' argh!!!

Report
newmumsuchfun · 27/06/2013 15:19

i also can spend a good hour dolling myself up, putting on a nice outfit and styling hair... and he doesnt notice. sometimes i think i may as well wear a sack and sit in my own filth.

"What is it with all this scratching around in pants?! I never sit/walk around the house with my hands down my knickers!" I do. What's good for the goose... Grin

My OH picks his nose, rolls it into balls then flicks it on to the carpet! Why can't he just eat them like I do?!

My OH is obsessively tidy and moans at me for being messy which drives me bonkers.

I have much worse bad habits than he has though

Chucks plates/ bowls into the sink with food still stuck to them.
Snores like a rhino.
Stains the toilet every time he dumps, leaving the most horrendous smell behind, that I'm sure a skunk would be proud of.
Cuts his toe nails in the garden. Not a problem, but he leaves them to grow so long that the clippings end up next door.
He doesn't know when to stop drinking.
He has the tact of a lead balloon.
He dumps his laundry on the floor beside the basket.
He splashes water everywhere in the bathroom when getting ready, and blames me, when its his sink.
Forgets to feed the dd's as he's not hungry.
Drives like an idiot that he is

Think I may trade him in for a different model, he obviously annoys the hell out of me Hmm

Is an awful timekeeper
Keeps letting his mobile run flat
Leaves his clothes on the floor beside the bed rather than in the wardrobe (I don't pick them up but I hate the untidiness!)
Refuses to read the instruction manuals to anything and has to "work it out himself", which inevitably takes twice as long
Is generally grumpy before his morning coffee

DH never puts things back where they should be and when I ask "have you seen xyz?", he always replies "have you spent five minutes looking for it?" Drives me batty!
Leaves one tattered sheet on loo roll rather than changing it as if one square inch of loo roll is going to wipe anything! But I love him lol! Grin

Stirs his cereal far more than anyone ever needs to stir their cereal.

Says July "Jooooly".

Refers to his childhome house (where his parents still live) as being on an estate when in fact it's a single road unconnected to any other housing - some sort of infuriating reverse snobbery.

Oh and to continue...yes the mobile is flat and "Oh didn't anyone put it on charge last night for me...I have been busy working..." Hmm DD points out can take a charger to work "Oh have not got time for charging phones!" HmmHmm
