Someone (ex bf) I suspect has changed my password on FB. My iPad told me 2 weeks ago it had been changed on this iPad and gave me the date and time. So I clicked on forgotten password thinking it would send me a reminder or let me reset it again. It then told me there was no account under my email address???? Wtf

I have tried to set up a new account and I'm just going round in circles. It's impossible. Anyone know what to do cos I am not FB savvy

I have tried to reset password and it then entering the new password when I log in and it keeps saying wrong email/ password combination. Help please its driving me mad

I think you may need to contact someone at Facebook about that. Is it possible he has hijacked your account?

I find it hard navigating my way round facebook to try to inform them. I tried but couldn't see how to do it. What do you mean hijacked my account? Do you mean taken it over?

Also is it possible for him to have his iPhone linked to my iPad in some way? He set up my iPad when I got it and how could I find out if he has?

It seems suspect that someone has changed your password on your account on your ipad? Would he have had access to it when it says the password was changed? You would normally get an email to confirm though. You would also get an email to confirm a change of email.

Do you have your own iTunes account? Or is it set up in his name?

You can def link iPads and iPhones. I have no idea how but recently all my FB notifications (and text messages) pop up on our iPad as well. I can ask DH how to unlink if you like?

From within Facebook there is an option to 'report a problem' but you're saying you can't log in at all?

Try safari on your ipad. Get the Facebook login page. Click on 'trouble logging in'. See what that does??

Why did you start a new one?

Did you speak to FB about it.

Why don't you just start over and create a brand new one? I am sure it is annoying losing your pics etc but you will surely have them on your PC and friends can re-tag you in ones you were previously tagged in.

If you do create a new one, keep your password to yourself. That goes for e-mail password too.

Have you tried entering your ex bf's e-mail address along with the new resetted password? I think I said before, he could have logged into your facebook then changed the e-mail address on the account to his. so surely if he did that you could log in under his e-mail address?

I started a new one because it wouldn't let me into my old one now its all locked and its saying I need to provide ID

I did report to FB the other day that I think the account had been hacked so maybe that's why it's now locked?

I wouldn't put it past him to link his iPhone to my iPad then he could see my emails. Just don't know how to find out or to change it

If i were you I would take the ipad to an Apple store and get one of the employees to tell you if they are linked.

FB may well have locked the account.

I think i would create a whole new e-mail address and start a new facebook page from that. A pain in the ass I know but your ex won't have any idea about it, he won't find you on FB and he won't guess your password.
Make your password something he really would never guess.

I just don't know why he would have done it though. It really could be FB deleting it as you had deactivated the account previously.

If your bf has linked your ipad to his iphone you may want to contact apple to see how to unlink them as my emails, my photos and my files (under cloud and dropbox) are shared between all my devices.

Have to say though that fb notifies me of logins from each device by an email as well as any password requests or email changes and asks each time if it was me or if I want to report it.

Fb have locked the account now. I don't think it was FB deleting as someone changed the password prior to this happening.

I guess I will have to start a new one

you know if it was him & he has linked his iPhone to your iPad, it means that you could wipe his phone as they are linked the other way as well I think. i am prepared to stand to be corrected just in case am wrong though.

I would also take it to the apple store & get one if them to look at it for you just to be safe.

Yes but if he changed it on this iPad he could then delete then email notification from my inbox could he not. So if iPhone and IPad were linked are you saying I,would be receiving his email notifications as well as him receiving mine?

Not if your email addresses are different? But if they are the same (i.e. just your one for fb) if he is logging in or changing your fb stuff via his phone you should receive an email. All moot btw if he has changed your fb log in details to his email account (but you sh/would have been notified the first time)

Best is to go get it checked out if you want to be sure the phone and iPad aren't linked.

If you look under settings on your iPad it will tell you which account you're signed into under the iCloud bit, this is where photos, calendars etc are linked.

I would reset your apple I'd password then if he's linked his iPhone that's what he'll have used.

If he had linked his phone wouldn't I receive his notifications on my iPad also though?

He knows what the iCloud password is cos he set it up. I can't remember!
