KittyAndTheFontanelles · 12/04/2013 23:22

Littlekitty fell on her beautiful little face today in the park and there was blood and everything. Sad Sad She actually landed on her little baba nose running after a duck Hmm

She was so brave.

Lots to catch up on, she's been sleeping really well so Ive not been around probably just jinxed tonightConfused

Wine anyone?

cafecito · 13/04/2013 01:45

Cheesecake!? Envy

themidwufe enjoy your chilled weekend! you deserve it

Kitty, ds fell over at same age, we were playing hide nd seek. he was so happy running around, then...slam...blood everywhere...and grit

I fell into a stream when i was 2, following ducklings though...and I also fell into a toxic waste lake and nearly drowned when I was 6! geese were implicated

thanks for rods of wisdom and reassurance my nightgoattroopers. I couldn't sleep last night at all, watched the good wife 4 in a row, tried to sleep, flashbacks things of DD and suchlike

Today has been silly. I've done no work, had a useless counselling session involving a 2 hour round trip..but the guy from university challenge bought me coffee after so, it had its plus (no, not paxman)

I'm fretting about all the work I need to do....meant to be actual working tomorrow so no me time. Grump grump

cafecito · 13/04/2013 01:47

Rods of wisdom Confused iPad eurgh I'm so bad at typing on this

(Though have visions of rods being brandished from goatback like light sabers)

jynier · 13/04/2013 01:53

Hope that you're all having a peaceful night!

SummerDad · 13/04/2013 02:19

Hi all, how is you lot doing, just had my tonsillectomy yesterday have been under heavy pain killers since Smile

jynier, how are you dear ?

cafecito · 13/04/2013 02:26

Imagines summerdad soooo tiny under a codeine tablet Grin eat toast with black currant jam. Fact. How are you doing otherwise?

Jynier how was your day?

cafecito · 13/04/2013 02:27

Argh blackcurrant. Like....cheesecake....om nom

SummerDad · 13/04/2013 02:29

I am good cafe thanks have been on normal diet as recommended by my consultant, avoiding spicy and acidic stuff off and keeping up with the schedule of medication so have not faced any problems so far, read so many horror stories on the internet though Confused

SummerDad · 13/04/2013 02:30

whats the deal with the toast and tonsillectomy, I dont get the connection people keep on mentioning all the time Smile

jynier · 13/04/2013 02:39

My DD2 was told to eat crisps to get rid of the scabs; seemed very odd to me! Had my tonsils out just after Princess Anne's were removed - we were all prescribed jelly and ice-cream but nobody told us that it was going to hurt!

Hope that you feel better soon, SD!

SummerDad · 13/04/2013 02:49

thanks jynier, I am doing fine with the advice of my fabulous consultant :) It was simple really keep the normal diet with the same texture but avoid spice, acidic stuff and whole milk stuff, make a schedule for the medicines and stick to it. It is just the second day and he said that it might get worse before it gets better Sad. Under codeine, I feel life around me is moving in slow motion Smile

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 13/04/2013 02:59

Oh cafe Sad I knew I had forgotten something really important. Sad I'm so sorry. You and your daughter are in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks

OP posts:
KittyAndTheFontanelles · 13/04/2013 02:59

jynier · 13/04/2013 03:08

SD It's funny how memories come back! When I was young, everyone convalescing was given white food - lots of fish, rice puddings, tapioca, sago and junket. JUNKET!!! Bet no-one knows what it is nowadays! Oh ... and egg custard!

SummerDad · 13/04/2013 03:09

Cheers kitty, how is the little kitty doing, sorry just tried to catch up with the previous posts but cant make any sense :D

jynier · 13/04/2013 03:21

cafe - Ignore me and my silly reminiscences.

It's your daughter's anniversary now, isn't it? So very, very sorry; am a little lost for words.

Bless her, poor little girl! May she rest in peace. Sending love to you from the bottom of my heart, xxx
