MrsShrek3 · 07/04/2013 01:39

ello jynier Wink

cafe, busy weekend Shock 8am and a course on a sunday you mug Grin hope the mad dh and toxic inlaws have all pissed orf good an' proper or I am coming round to take em out. btw all the best relationships start with friendship imho I would say that cos I married my best friend

cafecito · 07/04/2013 02:08

awww that's lovely mrsshrek! who ever gets to marry their best friend that is so so awesome. did it just evolve into that? that's really made me happy!

no he's not a friend, but he could be a friend - I would like him as a friend, he would like me as more *aarrrgghhh but clearly due to my insane existence- I have no time for such irritations distractions, right now, and no time for normal people who have more time than I do, as they irritate me don't understand

for now, I am in hiding from the toxic ex + co (quite literally!) but I'd get those goats stoked up just in case Grin

jynier · 07/04/2013 02:34

cafe - think that any new feller should be vetted by us before you dip your toe in the water again! Perhaps we could draw up a check list for you ... !

Btw, why did you nearly buy a barge?

jynier · 07/04/2013 05:29

Probably not relevant on here but have just heard the first bird of the dawn chorus; so beautiful!

BlueyDragon · 07/04/2013 06:48
KittyAndTheFontanelles · 07/04/2013 07:55

Grin Nice one bluey

"I'll bite your legs off!"

Grin

Sounds like terribly growed up day, bluey Wink

So, do you mind me asking why you aren't allowed a fried egg? I mean, I know why of course but what is it about a fried egg are you not allowed? Are you on a very prescribed diet? Fresh fruit and veg and wholemeals I suppose. Smile

I must admit I almost made myself a fried egg butty for lunch once I'd read that but I was good and had crumpets and fruit instead because I'd had a massive bacon butty that morning

Sorry cafe, we aren't making light of what you went through. Not in the slightest. It sounds terrifying and horrendous. It is beyond me how someone can treat another human being that way let alone a little baby. Sad Sad

I'm so glad you had the strength to get out. Smile

How unbelievable that the semi-outlaws have such a skewed view of the situation. You can't explain away a broken bone.

Morning all. Thank you for the advice Mrs Shrek and Cafe. I will get an appointment with my GP and see what can be done. I guess 'cos I don't complain < except on here> and just manage it, she thinks I am ok.
We will certainly prepare the goats, the ones with long curly horns, and practice our excruciate spells. We shall never surrender. Or am I getting a bit carried away.
Am having a gardening day today. Prepare the rubbing oils for later.

Minimammoth · 07/04/2013 09:14

Just to say I have resisted googling sootikins and dragon butter, so remain pureGrin

Midwife99 · 07/04/2013 10:30

Hello everyone!!

My goat says he's ready but fancies being called Sootikins for old time's sake? How tempting to name change to Midwifesootikins!! In fact my friend who is also a midwife (but not themidwife obviously!) has a cat called Sooty. Grin

I slept for 10 hours last night!!! ShockShockShock

Cafe - I'm so sorry you had such a dreadful time with your ex & full of total admiration for your strength & independence. Many would end up trapped in a cycle of abuse & low self esteem. Sad

Still wondering why Bluey can't have a fried egg sandwich. Just realised we ate that egg scraped off the floor!! Blush

BlueyDragon · 07/04/2013 17:06

The fried egg ban is because my immune system is compromised, so the advice is to avoid anything that carries higher risk of food poisoning, including eggs that aren't cooked solid. So no poached or runny fried eggs. The risk is small, I guess, but not one worth taking with my poor battered system - my white blood cell count has been borderline neutropenic ie too low, so I would cope badly if sick.

I didn't mean to belittle what you'd been through, cafe. I hope you didn't take it that way.

No goats today, but utterly beautiful falcons, owls, hawks and a vulture! Plus glorious weather - hurrah!

Minimammoth · 07/04/2013 17:46

Can you see my Halo? I dug the veg patch over, pruned the raspberries, spread compost cut down and pulled up dead stuff. I feel a bonfire coming on... Get ready for the smile signals Kiity.

Minimammoth · 07/04/2013 18:05

Smoke signals although smile signals sound good.

Midwife99 · 07/04/2013 18:20

Ah yes Bluey I understand now! Just think - a few more weeks & runny eggs, blue cheese & oysters!! (Bleuch)!!

Well mini - we had a lovely walk across the hills & then tea in a lovely tea room in the Shire. I saw those smoke signals!! Wink

Midwife99 · 07/04/2013 18:22

But the best thing that happened today is a text from my friend who actually does call "Sootikins" out of her balcony door for her cat. GrinGrinGrin

Minimammoth · 07/04/2013 18:37

Oh I am going to have to google it aren't I.

MrsShrek3 · 07/04/2013 18:57

also tempted to do a bonfire as mucho gardening has been done here too. My hands are now absolutely like sandpaper, they were rubbish before but a day in the garden has finished them off. Had better get the washing in before I practice my firelighting... I love a good bonfire Grin

mini, don't google [gets bleach in case]

cafe, how was the course? And Jynier, are there bonfires in camberwick green? (at least you have hugh, pew, barney mcgrew et al to put em out)
Count down, bluey. Unluckily DH did, and was more than slightly disappointed as his taste had changed too, temporarily, so he said all he could taste of his much craved fried egg was grease - oops Hmm He's made up for it since, mind Grin
hope minikitty is behaving herself today... after that beach trip Wink

Minimammoth · 07/04/2013 19:07

My hands are the same MrsShrek. Mucky fingernails, dry and wizened.
