MrsShrek3 · 06/04/2013 00:49

pissed midwife Shock Grin oooh a proper friday night Envy
stars...more work Shock

cafe, hope you are ok. sorry to hear xp being a tit. cafe on the cafe, ah well at least it's not the alcohol like me and the pissed midwife
Wink

sd a geek? well I never....Grin I had somehow just assumed that, don't remember what gave me the impression Blush am married to a geek so maybe I have geekradar. Most of my male friends are also geeks... what does that tell us (I've no idea, my psychbrain isn't switched on tonight Grin )

jynier hi if youre here. and good stuff bluey, keep marching on and stamp on that bastard disease as you go. I've just opened my "cancer we're coming to get you" t-shirt for rfl Smile

mini... gotta catch up. and kitty. I'm worn out with the beach trip (not enough to sleep, mind you) we should have borrowed littlekitty and worn the bugger out too Wink

BlueyDragon · 06/04/2013 01:28

I've said it before, you are all lovely if very norty and thank you for being around for me in the dark of the night. The banter has helped keep me going! I'm not being very brave tonight, hospital rang with my first post-chemo scan appointment and it's 2 weeks away and I'm bricking it already Sad. But it will be ok because I say so .

I'm doing RfL too, MrsShrek! DD is team leader and designer of team kit, so we have those T shirts plus tutus and fairy wings. It's going to be hilarious, not least because I am not known for my tutu sporting tendencies.

Glad to see the Wine is flowing tonight. Sorry to hear about your leg though, stars, hope it improves and you get some sleep.

MrsShrek3 · 06/04/2013 01:35

ooh bluey dh has scan and consultant on 17th april, sounds like we will all be bricking it together. shit innit...

Minimammoth · 06/04/2013 02:01

Flowers to Bluey and Mr Shrek. I think you are amazing doing RfL . Am rubbish at running. Cafe shall we send the thread heavies round to sort Exp?
I nearly killed the Fluff today apparently, she seemed to be in pain with her leg so I thought I old give her the pain killer. Mixed it in with her food, she took a couple of licks and walked off, left the food untouched all day. I explain all this to DH, who says, you did what! You are only supposed to give her 1/5 th capsule,Shock wise cat to leave it.[stoopid mini]
Come round my house stars I'll sort your poor leg out, Hmm meant ironically.
What are IgE levels?
I am awake as you probably guessed, having had Indian food, large cocktail and several GnTs. Slept for a couple of hours, now feeling agitated and gnarly.
I have just got a new lap top, tis a humble Del. trying to get to grips with windows 8.

MrsShrek3 · 06/04/2013 02:30

dont know whether I dare post this with so many medics in the house Grin
ige is immunoglobulin E - makes your body produce histamines and allergic reaction to allergens, this one causes the most powerful reactions iirc. DS1is allergic to milk and all things cow related Hmm and his IgE went up and up, hence no more bovine produce in our house...

Minimammoth · 06/04/2013 02:39

Ah I guess that's what my blood's made of then.will google it. Can your DS have goats milk. We are on goats. Well not literally Grin

MrsShrek3 · 06/04/2013 02:49

he had goat milk for a short time when he was 2, but now he can't really tolerate any mammal milk Hmm he can have a very small quantity of goats cheese (grated finely) so it is almost invisible but that's his lot, poor bugger. I do find him df equivalents of virtually everything tho. he is now 12 and appears to be gettin more allergic, not less. the git.
how long has your bumpiness been going on? since childhood / pregnancy / anything significant? or are you just weird Wink Grin

MrsShrek3 · 06/04/2013 02:55

anyone else doing nocturnal tonight?(hopeful)

Minimammoth · 06/04/2013 02:59

It's been going on since about 2002. We went to visit relly's in Canada. And while there I got some sort of virus, sickness, flue type thing, I took some equivalent of lemsip, and had a severe but not anaphylactic, reaction, hives all over my body. It seems it must have switched on something. Now it just seems very random, apart from avoiding what's on the list and anti hystemines, I guess I am stuck with it. The tendency must have been there though, have had rhinitis from 20's.

Minimammoth · 06/04/2013 03:01

Your poor boy, it's a pain when he has to eat differently from his mates I guess.

BlueyDragon · 06/04/2013 03:04

I now have visions of this entire thread doing their nite delivery duties whilst riding on goats Grin.

Big sympathies for the bumpy people though. It must be really frustrating to live with.

Mini, I'm not running RfL. Can't run to the end of the road atm. The ironic thing is I ran the London Marathon 2 years ago for Cancer Research Sad. So DD and her posse will be walking and I'm going to hold her hand the whole way round if she'll let me.

There's a thread on one of the MacMillan boards that refers to scanxiety, MrsS. Sounds about right to me. Fingers crossed for MrS's results.

MrsShrek3 · 06/04/2013 03:06

blimey. that's the scary thing about allergies too, the randomness. and ds1s allergy testing wasn' t particularly precise Hmm dunno whether that is typical or not. getting blood off an aspie is a whole experience, and not for the faint hearted. so we will work with the info we have got Grin Imho worth you asking gp for some proper allergy testing. might give you pointers.

MrsShrek3 · 06/04/2013 03:08

x post bluey. you turn up and wear the tshirt and tutu, wench Grin that's more than enough. I am daft enough to run it Hmm

Minimammoth · 06/04/2013 03:12

I shall cheer you both on from the mumsnet sidelines.

jynier · 06/04/2013 03:13

Hi! All you wonderful people!!! You helped me so much a few weeks ago! Thank you!

Bluey - you will be fine and am sending best wishes from Camberwick Green and the Salty Town!x

Did you all read MN round-up "how often do you wash lady garden?" AF's comment was hilarious!!!

BlueyDragon · 06/04/2013 03:17

Go MrsS, go! .

Off to find the lady garden thread.

BlueyDragon · 06/04/2013 03:20

Can't find it, I'm rubbish with the search on here.

jynier · 06/04/2013 03:32

Hi, Bluey, - it's the regular Friday evening post! AF casually dropped in a remark on the thread about "Sootikins" and then ran away! So funny! Google probably went mad earlier as nobody knew what it meant!

BlueyDragon · 06/04/2013 03:39

Aaaahhhh. Now I'm getting there (slowly). Grin.

How's Camberwick Green? The sun was actually shining here today, hopefully that means DS digging up worms and ants gardening tomorrow. There's loads to do...

jynier · 06/04/2013 03:54

CG is fine; church bells were ringing out at lunchtime which means there was a wedding. Have been watching BBC4 for last part of evening (all about rock 'n' roll and famous guitar heroes) and exchanging comments about The Sixties (while watching same) with a darling old school chum! Ploughed on today with a friend about Liverpool Care Pathway complaints. Apparently, it is essential that next-of-kin obtain Power of Attorney or that patient has a letter from GP to say that they will not be placed on LCP. I am sure that I will be corrected quite quickly on here if this info is wrong!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 06/04/2013 04:51

Hi all I'm up for the first time tonight with littlekitty which means she slept for 7 straight hours Smile She slept for 3 today too and would have slept on but I woke her up. Grin

She then ran around outside for an hour and demolished homemade char siu pork and egg fried rice for tea, little tinker Wink

bluey Indeed I do feel like a new woman Grin but I'm sorry to hear that littlekitty has been influencing your son. Shock Thatust have been who she was talking to so earnestly on her plastic phone.

Positive thoughts to both you and Mrs for scan dates. We will all be thinking/praying/dancing etc for you both (well MrMrs really)

cafe same happened to me re
preeclampsia and quick birth. They golde in hospital about the connection. but didn't tell me my milk might lag and let my daughter almost starve for 4 days before suggesting expressing and feeding cup Sad poor littlekitty lost 12%

Oops didn't mean to post yet.Hmm

Sorry to hear your ex is being a dick. We will indeed form a posse on goats and go and sort him out with our menacing hills

themidwife pissed? pissed??! I don't understand. Is it something the young uns do?

Waves to Camberwick Green and Salty town, stars dad and bumpitymini

mini Blimey heck, poor fluffycat Shock That was close. Good think she's --more
intelligent than you-- discerning. What an unusual trigger for all your allergy career...lemsip Confused

Mrs gosh, your poor boy. I'm an ex vegan so I know what the dairy free stuff is like Hmm If you actually like dairy (which I didn't) it isn't really a substitute. Although hopefully things have progressed since then. Like someone else said it must be hard for him to have to be different from his friends Sad Brave boy.

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 06/04/2013 05:22

Oh my CripesShock How many mistakes are there in those last two posts? Shoddy work, must try harder. Confused
