Dp went to watch our local football team this afternoon and was going for a drink after, said he'd be back by 7. He's not. And his phones off. I don't mean to sound annoyingly motherly, he's 32! But quite unlike him...:-/

Have you had no response at all from any of the people you contacted?

If it's as out of character as you say, I would be ringing people now, his close friends or something. This is worrying.

BrokenBritain · 03/03/2013 00:51

I would be shitting myself by now, and definitely ringing anyone I could think of. Sorry op not to have any better advice but really hope everything's ok.

PopeBenedictsP45 · 03/03/2013 00:56

Oh god, I would be frantic. It is so hard having to sit tight.

But I agree with the others - if he'd been in an accident or something the news would've got back to you by now.

I really hope he turns up soon.

Insecure24 · 03/03/2013 01:04

Hand holding x

Wonderland121 · 03/03/2013 01:07

Have you called anyone?
Could you call 101 and explain and say your worried?
Is it completely out of character?

BreasticlesNotTesticles · 03/03/2013 01:08

Have you called hospitals just in case? I agree he will be pissed somewhere

Bluelightsandsirens · 03/03/2013 01:10

Here is my hand but they do tend to arrive fine and expect a lie in even though you are the one who has stayed up worrying.

Luckily it does not happen often.

ScabieFace · 03/03/2013 01:12

Can you think where he might be? I'd be getting in the car with DC by now

(You have more patience than me OP)

Hope all is ok

cerealqueen · 03/03/2013 01:15

Hand holding. He will have got drunk, round to a friends, fallen asleep, no juice on phone. I have been there. It's so selfish.

ifancyashandy · 03/03/2013 01:18

Oh sweetheart. I totally understand your fear but he is just out on the lash with the boys. If there were an accident you would have been called. He's out being a fuckwit. Horrid for you

Go to bed. Try and sleep, for as soon as you know it, you're gonna have beery breath in your face. Declaring undying love.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 03/03/2013 01:51

Hope the silence means he's back.

Insecure24 · 03/03/2013 02:32

Nope not back. No news at all. Just been driving round with dd hopelessly. At my wits end. If he's not back soon I'm ringing the police. He's not a big drinker it's totally out of character

OP posts:
Buzzardbird · 03/03/2013 02:36

I would contact the police if this is out of character. You poor thing, get dd back into bed and dial 101.

babyboomersrock · 03/03/2013 02:38

I'd call the police too - you must be feeling sick with worry now. Am thinking of you.

Insecure24 · 03/03/2013 03:23

He's home slightly tipsy but not drunk. Said phone died and "mates bullied him into staying". He's been told very clearly he's on the sofa tonight, that in two hours hell be up with dd whilst I sleep in no matter how hungover he feels. Prat. He's apologised and says he knows he's been a dick blah blah blah. Bed time. Thanks for hand holding everyone

OP posts:
yelpol · 03/03/2013 03:43

Glad to hear he's back ok. I hope you get some rest now and that he makes it up to you. I bet you're even sngrier now knowing that he's been ok all along - men ay!

AThingInYourLife · 03/03/2013 07:03

No, not men.

Just the really shit ones.

He went AWOL for hours overnight because his mates blied him into treating his family like shit on his shoe? Hmm

What an utter wanker.

MumVsKids · 03/03/2013 07:09

He needs new mates. Hope you got some sleep x

AThingInYourLife · 03/03/2013 07:15

New mates?

I'd be torn between whether he needed a new arsehole or a new address.

akaemmafrost · 03/03/2013 07:41

I am amazed that there are women who would drag their small children out of bed in the early hours of the morning to search for Grown Drunk Men. Nice memories for the kids Shock.

Insecure24 · 03/03/2013 07:51

No Emma, this is unlike my partner. He is not a drinker and rarely goes out on benders and always tells me where he is etc. so sorry if you're "amazed" that I went driving around but I was actually bloody concerned

OP posts:
OutsideOverThere · 03/03/2013 08:00

OP I'm so sorry. What a dickhead. Sad I think you would be wise to try and ascertain that nothing else happened actually/ you know, the usual thing involving some woman.

Sorry to say that.
