How much noise is it 'normal' to make during sex? (TMI alert!)

When I'm having sex I like to make a lot of noise and er ....express myself. My ex liked it and said it spured him on. My new bf is worried that it will annoy the nieghbours and dosn't like it much. TBH when I'm doing it I couldn't give a shit what the neighbours think as I am enjoying it too much!
I could try toning it down a bit but there is no way I am going to remain silent. With my last dp we once did it outside in a secluded area and I still didn't shut up; cue giggles and piss taking from some distant passers by! It dosn't really bother me although I am aware that some people might find it odd.
This new man isn't at all serious so I am not going to change styles. So my question is; are you noisy during sex? It seems that I am noisier than most men but then I imagine many women are. Is it odd to want to make a lot of noise during sex?

OP - you have made it worse for yourself, by saying you don't care what the neighbours think.

Have you not thought for one moment that families next door will be cringing with embarassment at having to explain to their children what all the noise is. As someone else said, it is vulgar. How would you feel if you had your family round, maybe your parents, or siblings with their children and then had to listen to that? Think on a bit.

FerrisBueller1972 · 14/01/2013 15:17

Just sat here having a mooch through the threads and I am open mouthed at you OP. You have really painted a delightful picture of you . If you were my neighbour and you made noise like that each weekend with a different bloke. Fuck me, yes I would judge you, I'd also be having words.

Are your kids in the house/flat too when you strike it 'lucky'?

garlicblocks · 14/01/2013 15:24

It's not attention-seeking! I'm tired of Mumsnetters going on about women who're noisy during sex being fakers, etc. I'm noisy. (At least, I still was last time I had sex ... :() Are you all saying women like me should be more ladylike during sex?? Grin

It just happens! If I am constrained to be quiet, I can't come as I have to think about whether I'm making a noise.

Dealbreaker to me, OP.

garlicblocks · 14/01/2013 15:26

it is vulgar

Oh, I see you are saying we should have ladylike orgasms, ToeCap Hmm That sounds like fun.

Nooneelseisallowedafergus · 14/01/2013 15:36

Rotter.

badinage · 14/01/2013 15:41

It's not attention-seeking!

Have you seen how many pointless threads this OP has started and abandoned?

ToeCap · 14/01/2013 15:43

No dear. I am saying you should think of your neighbours and what embarassment you may be heaping on them. Noisy sex, yes if it is your thing, but not if you are going to upset someone.

M25Meltdown · 14/01/2013 15:47

Pirate Sex.

LoopsInHoops · 14/01/2013 16:02

Can we ask you all to keep the noise down please? Grin

Thanks for the reports, the OP has been around for sometime and is above board as far as we can see. Can we please ask that you refrain from Troll hunting on the boards and report your concerns to us?

Many thanks - do continue, but please respect others opinions, even if you don't agree with them.

why do people have to have sex?

so unnecessary

AnyFucker · 14/01/2013 16:26

No, chickens, the first time doesn't count because you can't get pregnant, see ? And if you do it standing up behind the back of The Jockey that doesn't count either

You have had sex at least three times, as have I.

BonkeyMollocks · 14/01/2013 16:27

OOoh Iv'e been deleted twice on this thread Hmm

AmberLeaf · 14/01/2013 16:30

I'm with Garlicblocks.

FellatioNels0n · 14/01/2013 16:32

I think if you are screaming and yelling for the sake of screaming and yelling (as opposed to not being able to help it at crucial moments) then it's too much, really. Low to medium volume moans and gasps are all that is required otherwise. Your actual yelling should be confined to coming only, and even then there are socially acceptable limits.

It's especially too much for the poor neighbours who have to suffer it. No-one minds accidentally over-hearing someone come once in a while but constant OTT ostentatious yelling is incredibly intrusive and tedious.

LoopsInHoops · 14/01/2013 16:34

I don't think I've ever blushed at words on a screen before. This is simply too much for me. (clutching pearls)
