Any shockers?!

Dp did very well buying me a Tiffany's necklace but this was counterbalanced with a talking monkey that smells of bubblegum from Build A Bear :/

Three lovely dresses I had pointed out on a shopping trip, the new Cecelia Ahern book, the chanel lipstick I have been after, three new lingerie sets and a new dressing gown from DD Grin

My lovely DH got me a Nexus 7. Very very excited to be dragged into the 21st century.

I got him some fancy wellies not quite the same though is it Blush.

A Cartier necklace and a dressing gown. He did well!

Phoebe47 · 27/12/2012 17:06

A notebook laptop (a complete surprise and I love it), a lovely, silky tunic top, a warm snuggly fleece top and a pair of boots. I bought him boots, some dvd boxed sets that I knew he wanted, a new dressing gown that he had asked for and an art book and an amazon voucher to get books for the kindle he had last year. We both loved our pressies and the children did very well too. We had a lovely day together.

perfume. not one that i know (or like now I have had a chance to smell it) I did say I would like some more perfume, I have lots of favourites of varying different prices and I would have been more than happy with any of those.
And a box of chocolates from DD.
I am little disappointed as I spent quite a lot of time and thought on his gifts, listened when he said there was something he wanted over the past few months and tried to get everything (not big, expensive gifts but quite a few small ones) and he got me something which he bought in 5 minutes with little thought invovled.
ahh well. Xmas Hmm

AlwaysWantingMore · 27/12/2012 23:32

I got absolutely nothing from him....

Bit gutted since I arranged a surprise secret trip to Paris for NYE (we leave tomorrow) and the flights/hotel were £1000. I got all the family in on the secret and they got him Euros, guidebook, phrase book etc... I also got him a DVD he wanted so that he had something to unwrap.

I'm a bit Confused about it all! We have been together 9 years, and have been skint until this year. We now finally have a whacking great income, spare cash, and can treat ourselves/each other... Or so I thought!

AlwaysWantingMore · 27/12/2012 23:33

I should add - my watch has been broken for months (stap is broken and hard to replace) I asked him if he could get that fixed as my Christmas present. It's still in my bedside drawer...

Anyone want to come to Paris with me tomorrow?

SHoHoHodan · 27/12/2012 23:53

That's crap, Always. Did he offer any explanation/excuse?

Thanks SHoHo, he hasn't offered any explanation. He only bought one gift this year - I had to do all the rest, including his parents' an hour before they arrived (he said had got something but hadnt)

I'm a bit fed up, but just going to try to enjoy la belle France! Smile

SHoHoHodan · 28/12/2012 09:48

Well that's just downright mean, Always.

I hope you enjoy your Paris trip though- maybe some retail therapy (on his cc) is in order...

AlwaysWantingMore · 28/12/2012 09:52

Thanks! I think we will have to have a serious chat about his attitude while we are there... Hopefully will enjoy it anyway though! Smile

LadyLapsang · 28/12/2012 21:48

Nothing for anyone, I buy all the gifts for everyone. He hates the gift aspect of Christmas but I am used to this & I don't let it upset me; my gifts to myself include Alex Monroe necklace, books, perfume, beauty products, clothes etc.

I got a brand new car 3 weeks ago so wasnt expecting anything but got a beautiful Swarovsky watch. I bought him a radio for work, some men's moisturisers and sweets.

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 29/12/2012 18:20

Winter service and new clutch cylinders for my car, a lego Death Star with Tie Interceptor mini lego thingy and all of the original Upstairs Downstairs on DVD.

Winner! Grin

quarterfrench · 29/12/2012 18:37

A mitt duster, a boiled egg opener and a bottle of Jo Malone which I got last year for my birthday and Christmas last year and the birthday before that. I even asked for something else when he asked me what I wanted, but didn't get it, anyway I like Jo Malone. I bought him tons of things and very thoughtful ones too.....
