Any shockers?!

Dp did very well buying me a Tiffany's necklace but this was counterbalanced with a talking monkey that smells of bubblegum from Build A Bear :/

Grin

Just being a twit. I am single

Hydrophilic · 26/12/2012 00:14

A single electric blanket (from both him and his mother) .I'm 23.

A box of teabags

2 bottles of cider

We have been together 3 years, live together and I bought him lots of lovely presents. I'm gutted.

libertychick · 26/12/2012 00:22

solesource Xmas Grin My DD would love a concrete mixer though!

Hydro - is he a thoughtless or tight twat or just has no clue? If it's the former then get rid of him - you are only 23, plenty of time to do better. If it's the latter then may I recommend doing a list? We do them every year and saves all the grief. I send him a list of 10 or 12 things I would love, complete with links, he does likewise, we agree a budget and then we both get 'surprises' from our list.

BertieBotts · 26/12/2012 00:39

I got a new phone, which was a total surprise, and some sweets. Also an engagement ring but wasn't really a Christmas present Xmas Grin

pixwix · 26/12/2012 00:50

Oh WOW Bertie!! Grin Was this expected? - congratulations!

My ex-dh (and kids) bought me a competition (upmarket) karate suit - Yay! Grin am so chuffed!!

louisianablue2000 · 26/12/2012 01:16

A kitchen bin! But it is a very cool bin that cost a small fortune (A Wesco Kickmaster, even architect BIL was impressed). I also got a big pile of books and a piping bag and nozzles 'from the kids' so I can channel my inner domestic goddess while on maternity leave. I'm a happy bunny.

KatieScarlett2833 · 26/12/2012 12:21

iPhone,Everybody Loves Raymond complete box set, Daisy perfume, naice cardigan and a book. Spoiled rotten.

Hydrophilic · 26/12/2012 13:39

Libertychick- other years he has managed perfectly well to buy me lovely clothes and jewellery. He has good taste and is capable of coming up with ideas. I'm ashamed to admit I had a little cry to my mum (DP is at work for christmas so I have come here). We have drifted apart so much it feels like we are friends living together, and this summed up his feelings for me. Old and frumpy.

armani · 26/12/2012 14:16

A shiny kindle fire! Love it!

Bunnyjo · 26/12/2012 16:15

For the last couple of years we have been stoney broke and didn't bother getting presents for eachother. DH has done lots of extra overtime this year, as well as selling some items second hand, and saved the money. He got me a M&S coat, M&S underwear, some lovely M&S pyjamas, a bottle of Kahlua, jelly tots (my favourite) and a medical dictionary - I am hoping to study BSc Medical Science (and transfer to the MBBS Medicine degree after the first year) in September, so this present was extra special.

I only got him a bottle of port Blush, but we're both happy.

Some cake baking and decorating equipment. I love watching baking shows and making simplecakes, but he's spent about £100 on stuff from JL and I'd have rather he bought me the large leather satchel I've been hankering after for over a year.

I'm a bad ungrateful person but I thought that I'd dropped enough hints.

PessimisticMissPiggy · 26/12/2012 16:33

Italics failure^^ sorry.

GreatCongas · 26/12/2012 17:38

Nothing here either
In agreement as he bought be a sewing box off eBay earlier in the year and I bought him a sander (both wanted)

Was a teeny but miffed though as his cot three times the price and every other birthday and Christmas I get him fab presents and his effort is shi

Stupid though as I know I should have expected him to take me at my word

It's my birthday soon and if he only gives me the two albums I have ordered myself I will get a bit stroppy

AFingerofFudge · 26/12/2012 17:46

My DH is crap at presents, fantastic in many other ways though. So this years treats:
A pair of socks
A bag of licquourice

Inaflap · 26/12/2012 17:50

A very large archery target so I and DS 2 can shootnin the back garden. A net so the arrows don't go flying into the neighbours cat and a champneys voucher. Am a happy bunny. I bought him a body board which he can't wait to use in the summer. Only thing now is that i have the cold from hell and have been in bed all day so can't go with them for yummy dinner at mums.

1charlie1 · 26/12/2012 20:10

The complete Gavin and Stacey (yay!), and l'Occitane exfoliant for dry skin (clever man.) The new Lee Child for my kindle. We had a lovely Christmas.

nannyof3 · 26/12/2012 20:14

VinoEsmeralda · 26/12/2012 20:17

M&s walnut whips- packet of 3
Some sewing thread in the most ghastly colours but it has black & White in
Booja Booja truffles ( very nice)
Sparkly coasters
Sewing set to make a Christmas garland

Not really impressed but Hey ho

Engelsemama · 26/12/2012 20:25

Nothing. In the last few years before DS we've gone away for a few days as our Christmas present to each other. This year we're going to buy a museum card (not in the UK) to encourage us to get out and about as a family a bit more next year.

TheWalkingDead · 26/12/2012 20:26

DH got me a new kindle Paperwhite and a case to replace my old 1st gen kindle which is starting to die a bit, alphas season 1 DVD and cockneys vs zombies DVD. I was very impressed!

We had a a great day!

ChristmasNamechangeBridezilla · 26/12/2012 21:00

I got new boots from Dune which are fabulous, department store vouchers to hit the sales with (he knows better than to choose clothes for me, I'm awkward! Grin), nice chocolates and Clinique moisturiser which was the wrong one but we are going to exchange it if we can after I very tactfully put it next to my current one in the bathroom and he realised they were different. Blush He's a star.

WakeyCakey · 26/12/2012 21:31

Kindle fire which was totally unexpected, some lovely clothes and dvd 's,
and a bra my nan wouldn't wear due to being embarrassed at its frumpiness Smile but he did amazingly well otherwise!

Twingirlsrock · 26/12/2012 21:33

A gorgeous engagement ring Smile

Northernlebkuchen · 26/12/2012 21:40

Chocolate Orange Grin

Sent away my watch for a new battery so I can wear it again

Bottle thing - to use for food or as vase

Molton Brown shower gel

Agatha Christie compilation

and.....some beautiful sexy and pretty lingerie. He had done a huge amount of internet research checking out reviews on different brands and managed to buy a set that did indeed fit me. Given I'm a size 22 with H/HH cup boobs that's quite a triumph. I was very touched by the effort he'd made.

stuffedfull · 26/12/2012 21:43

The final christmas with ex dh he bought me .... in all seriousness ..... 2 doormats - 1 for the front door, one for the back door. !!
