Making a sex tape...have you ever?

Ok, my bf has suggested a few times about filming us. I'm not totally against the idea but I wouldn't want it to be seen by anyone other than us. I totally trust him not to show it to anyone or upload it anywhere but what other precautions could I take?

Has anyone here any experience of making one and how to keep it safe or is it just a completely mad idea?

Don't do it!! How are you going to stop him showing all and sundry if you split up? Think Tulisa, Paris Hilton, etc, etc...

Absolutely not.
It's ok to trust him now but what if you split up? Everything about it makes me very nervous indeed. Has he filmed with girlfriends before? What is it about this that he finds appealing? Is it that having sex knowing the camera is on is a turn on for him? Or is it about watching again later...perhaps when you're not there?

If you have to do this, make sure he deletes it immediately. Better still use your own camera or phone or whatever to film with and delete it as soon as you've watched it.

Even the phrase 'sex tape' makes me want to vomit - it makes it sound like some sad celebrity publicity stunt. And most people who aren't porn 'stars' look ridiculous having sex...

I wouldn't do it, for all the reasons above "God, look at my bum!!1" plus not ever being sure where the tape would end up plus it's yuk plus I actually have no particular desire to watch myself having sex.

Is this becoming a thing of his? Has he done it before? Does he have a file on his laptop full of vids of him and his ex's?

Just don't. I used to work with a guy who did this and without his gf's knowledge was showing it to anyone who was prepared to look. I don't think she ever found out either which in a way was even more awful. So no - don't.

If we do it it will be on my camera. Are there ways to lock access to things and password them? Think I need to be a bit more tech savvy before going ahead with anything.

We've filmed ourselves. It was quite a turn on but watching it back was utterly unsexy and horribly cringy! Honestly, I had no idea how stupid I people look when having sex. Anyway, we filmed it on a phone and promptly deleted it after viewing and agreeing it was not something we'd ever, ever want to watch again!

I made one with an ex and found it again a few months ago. Was quite nice looking back at how slim I was
DH and I take pictures quite regularly, much more flattering than a live action stream!
But yeah, I agree that privacy is a big factor and there has to be a huge amount of trust to do it.

Unless you feel you can absolutely trust your partner I wouldn't do it. It is far too easy with modern technology to replicate your antics online.
Facebook, You Tube, mobile phone, other social media etc.

Your partner only needs to remove the memory card and transfer the contents to any of the above. IMO it's too risky.

I would never do it. Anyway, its yr boyfriend's suggestion , not yours. "I'm not totally against the idea" sounds actually quite ambivalent to me.

Agree that even if you "totally" trust someone (whatever that means) what if it got lost, stolen, got into the wrong hands' accidentally ...

I've done one, only last a few mintues and isn't really explicit. It's on my camera so no one will see it. I would do another as it's just a bit of fun for the both of us, but make sure it's on your camera and you trust him 100%We watched it after we'd finished and all I could say was "I didn't know I had a freckle on my bum!"
