FWIW i was very anti in the past. Have had a selection partners in the past and have been married before. However with my new DH we've done it a few times and a couple of times i've even liked it!

I'm very suspicious of the "everyone's doing it" excuse. It's the one your child trots out to prove they absolutely must have the latest highly expensive gadget or wickedly overpriced brand of trainers. "Everybody" turns out to be two or three members of the class with more money than sense. And in the case of the OP's OH, "everybody" is going to mean three or four blokes chatting round the water cooler, at least one of whom is lying.

I think men's fascination with anal is that it's considered 'taboo'. They see it as a way of pushing the boundries, and use it as a way to feel they are having 'naughty' or 'kinky' sex. Also some say that they like it because its tighter (because our anus isnt designed to stretch to fit so to speak)

I do it with my DP sometimes, and while i dont really get anything out of it, i dont dislike it.

The 1st time i did it i found it very uncomfortable.. i expected it to hurt, and naturally tensed up which made penetration harder for him, and more uncomfortable for me. I found that when i just relaxed, it wasnt atall painful.
