Milk. I feel your distress. I think just sit on it as well, try and let time take its course.

Snape. He is a prof so hopefully will ingest the information with objectives and an educated mind.

Sponge. How are you?

I've woken up feeling sad today and Im not sure why. I was meant to be meeting a group of friends at a festival but most of them have now decided to go to a local place for lunch instead, claiming weather issues. I'm still going to the festival though.
A friend of the family whom I've known since birth died last week which has had more of an impact on me than I thought it would.

Dating - revamped my profile after once over by mentor Snape and got 2 messages. Both spuds but it's an improvement! Usual car crash on pof. Bloke with no photo wanted to meet. I asked him why no photo and he said sensitive job. So I asked him to email. He said he can't but he could text one. I said it all sounds a bit dodgy and blocked him. That's it for me.

ChaoticismyLife · 25/08/2012 13:15

snape good news about the prof :)

scatty sorry to hear about your friend.

MadameOvary · 25/08/2012 13:23

Scatty Here's a [hug] for you. Good call on blocking the twat. Probably got a head full of Andy McNab books and wears camo.

MadameOvary · 25/08/2012 13:24

Oops sorry that wasn't meant to be a link Blush

snapespeare · 25/08/2012 13:32

Prof is fab. All is well. :-)

mercury7 · 25/08/2012 13:32

Bloke with no photo wanted to meet. I asked him why no photo and he said sensitive job. So I asked him to email. He said he can't but he could text one.

such an obvious ruse to get you to give him your phone number!

MadameOvary · 25/08/2012 13:35

Snape that's good Smile I'd be really surprised if a kinkster was put off by that tbh.

Well the date is ON! 7.30 tonight. I have no idea what to expect, but on past form, a pleasant evening, intelligent company, a mild frisson and then a day or two of silence followed by the usual "I like you but I don't see us as partners".

Which is ok actually. At least they are being honest.

I have decided to call him Milk Tray Man, or MTM for short, due his rugged good looks Grin

snapespeare · 25/08/2012 13:45

scatty. Haven't had another look at your profile yet, but will do so later. Sorry to hear bout your friend. Hope you have a nice day (looks out of window at rainy weather!).

Quote-prof 'you are such a decent sort, so honest and upstanding, I'm starting to respect the shit out of you...' 'enjoy your day, sweet, sexy, wonderful woman'

What the actual fuck just happened? Did OKC actually work? Did telling him I have HSV2 actually make him like me a bit more?

I must subconsciously sabotage this immediately!! I know, I'll tell him I'm in love with my best fri...shit, no. Done that. I'll lie about my age on OKC, nope. Did that, so did he. We think it's funny. The only thing left in my repetoire is to send him a photo of my.... Stretch marks. That's it. That'll see him off. Then I can get back to being miserable & celibate & cynical.

Wink
snapespeare · 25/08/2012 13:49

Well quite, madameO. Kinksters more than anyone tend to get that it's not all PIV. Wink. Hope you have a lovely date, I love your attitude, then anything 'better' than that is a lovely suprise. :)

ChaoticismyLife · 25/08/2012 13:53

At this rate it won't just be watch's wedding we'll be arranging Grin

MadameO enjoy your date.

snapespeare · 25/08/2012 13:58

Double-wedding alert!!! Battle of the brides! watch-rock-wifes hog roast in a field vs my hogswarts wedding where the tardis pitches up and whisks us all off to the moulin rouge in 1890. :-)

lubeybooby · 25/08/2012 14:20

Snape!! Wow i love that reply from him! also lmao @ your thoughts of sabotage :o

Well here i am in one piece (just) after blokeychap has left. Blimey i'm sore! Blush anyway i've decided i can never ever ever ever live with him, or probably anyone. the way he thuds down the stairs so loudly was putting me right on edge thinking of how my ex used to bang and crash wildly about. and even though BC is completely wonderful, that stair thing alone will make sure i'm just a mad cat lady forever!

TimeForMeAndDD · 25/08/2012 14:47

Wonderful Snape, bloody brilliant!! And yes, I am hoping that your romantic fling will give you the confidence to brave The Talk with PM. That's if you still want PM after you have experienced the The Prof, who actually sounds utterly amazing. Smile

Lubey wise decision. Plus when you actually live with them the sex dwindles along with most of the good stuff, because no one has to make an effort any more, so after a month or so it won't just be his thundering down the stairs that gets on your nerves Wink

Enjoy your date MadameO Smile

Hi to everyone else Smile

EHoneybadger · 25/08/2012 16:43

Wooooo!!!! Snape Grin

Are you really sure you want PM? You have been right under his nose and he has been too stupid to see you but the Prof appreciates you within a couple of days of knowing you. Are you sure you want somebody that stupid when you have met somebody who sounds absolutely lovely?

Envy at Lubey and all the others who are having amazing nooky, lucky sods.

MLM it makes me sad to read the horrible things that have happened to you in a short life but it is great you always seem to pick yourself back up and find the good in life. :)

Time you said a while ago that it sounded like I wasn't ready for dating. And you were absolutely spot on. Buuuttt I had unexpected contact from a really nice, normal, fun sounding guy and we have been chatting. I have put off meeting until after a holiday I have coming up particularly as I wanted to be sure I wasn't going to mess him around if he really is as nice and genuine as he seems. I think I may be ready to give somebody a chance to treat me nicely and have agreed to meet in September. We get on well in terms of talking I am just hoping there will be a spark.

MadameOvary · 25/08/2012 17:02

Thanks everyone Smile
EHoney, wow, what you said about giving someone a chance to treat you nicely - really struck a chord. I'm going to take that mentality out with me tonight. Thank you!

TimeForMeAndDD · 25/08/2012 17:08

Ehoney That's lovely and I am really pleased for you. I hope he turns out to be a good one Smile

EHoneybadger · 25/08/2012 17:54

Thanks Time He really does sound lovely. Took time out of dating to spend 50/50 bringing up his children and now they are old enough he is ready to try again. He is nice about his ex and comes across as quite sociable and chilled out. He has been texting me even though he is now away on holiday. What is really spooky is he will be visiting a beach where a friend is staying. They know about each other and are looking out for each other so she may meet him before I do!! I am a little worried that all my most embarrassing secrets will be out before I even meet him!! Shock

Good luck MadameO :)

hatesponge · 25/08/2012 17:55

Great news all round :)

Am so so pleased about the Prof Snape. When is Date 2 1 (timetravelling confusion!) the next date?

I meanwhile have almost found myself a FWB Shock Grin but of course as with everything I ever do it appears somewhat predictably to have fallen at the final fence Hmm So, back to the drawing board etc

Scattylatte · 25/08/2012 18:21

Sponge. Do you feel you could elaborate??? Pleeease??

Meme O. I think I need to copy your attitude. Enjoy your date.

Snape. Much appreciation for your comments, I know you are a busy woman. Thank you!

Thank you for hugs. I'm feeling ok now. Had a funny afternoon with friend and her 2 children. I think I've restricted myself to a type of man and I am going to try and broaden my horizons. Went to a vegan thing today and I was surprised by the high number of attractive men in cheesecloth shirts. Stripped naked they would be hot!

AnuvvaMuvva · 25/08/2012 18:24

Snape - has the Prof asked you out on a second date yet?

Llareggub · 25/08/2012 18:47

I've had a lovely afternoon messaging a lovely man who lives startlingly close to me. I like the look and sound of him. I am impressed with OKC and haven't logged on to pof for 2 days!

I am having excellent feedback on my new photo ;-) and I might revamp the words I have used to. Might see how Mondays date goes first though.

Does this get a bit addictive?

Movingforward123 · 25/08/2012 19:48

snape glad to hear prof has replied and is taking it well Smile

Well so far my weekend has been: thursday stayed home alone!
Friday went shopping, bought a dance pole, Friday night had my dad over for dinner, so couldn't put dance pole up Hmm
Saturday stayed in put poke up, tried to do some moves. Pole moved a few times so I don't trust it to do upside down moves! Then has a nap for a few hours Hmm now I don't know what to do with myself, I feel like I'm wasting my free time and wish I was using it to have hot sex with a hot guy!!

Tomorrow I'm going to the theatre with my friends!

MyLittleMiracles · 25/08/2012 20:24

snape glad things are seeming to go well with the PROF. I am assuming I will be getting a wedding invite?? When is the next date??
MadameO enjoy your date hope its going well.

Did someone say nookie? Now what makes you think i am getting plenty any? I chose one in the end, and i am happy with my choice

Did anyone see that thread about LoveMen On Time? That made me laugh!!

llare its always good to find someone local, it makes it easy, though i was chatting to someone from australia, with the joke that i couldnt get any further away we still chat.
chaotic your right it wont be just watch's wedding we will be arranging, it will be snape's and yours as well!

ChaoticismyLife · 25/08/2012 20:49

Mine??? Confused

snapespeare · 25/08/2012 20:49

Next date still not been arranged! He's out with friends just now & I'm just out of the gym with PM (of which more discussion later...) so not much chat this afternoon. Ideally Wednesday if SODDING period stops, as kids GPs down from the north. Shall send him a photo of an olive gripped between my teeth a bit later...

Pm going on about being bored of being single, but selfish, likes doing his things (eg gym with me) doesn't want someone who is there the whole time, needs space and companionship. I basically agree with that, but miss sex! Told him I agree with all that, BUT MISS SEX.
