Probably a knock off Sponge Wink

hatesponge · 23/08/2012 22:31

I think I have been persuaded to rejoin OkCupid. I can't face POF at the moment that's for sure.

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/08/2012 22:35

Hooray!!

Hang in there with it Sponge, don't get downhearted if you aren't flooded with messages, it's not like POF, but the messages are better quality.

watchoutforthatsnail · 23/08/2012 22:39

Yay!!!! Less messages but better quality.
Ooohh, wish I still had an account so I.could look for you.

snapespeare · 23/08/2012 22:49

come on sponge!

If I can nail a hottie on OKC, pretty sure other people are in with a chance!

MadameOvary · 23/08/2012 22:51

Awww Snape Sad

Llareggub · 23/08/2012 22:52

Hiya folks, I am back from my date. He was lovely and we had lots to talk about. He walked me home, was a complete gentleman and he asked to see me again. About as far removed as it is possible to be after my last mad night of passion date as it is possible to be. I'd definitely like to see him again.

Came home to a message from someone I messaged on pof last week. He seems lovely too. I've also found the same guy with two different profiles, is that common? He is a different age in them and I am getting alarm bells...

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/08/2012 22:56

That is the universe sending you a message Snape Grin

snapespeare · 23/08/2012 22:59

llareggub sounds like a lovely evening! I'd be a bit alarm-bell-y about 2 profiles with different ages, do you think he has one, forgot the password and was too dense to retrieve it? Are the profiles the same? Same pic? Same narrative?

snapespeare · 23/08/2012 23:00

Oh god, what is the universe trying to tell me? Anal?

Shock. Blush

hatesponge · 23/08/2012 23:19

I have signed up for OKCupid.

My first Quiver match is a guy who I nearly dated 4 years ago on Match Hmm

There was a reason we never got together then he is a twat.

I guess it can only get better!

Lueji · 23/08/2012 23:22

I've decided I'm not going on another date until you, Time and Watch have vetted - and approved - his profile

Me too, please.
First because I'm nosy.
Then because I miss doing it.

hatesponge · 23/08/2012 23:30

I now have a dating Committee! :)

Given how badly I do on my own though I probably need the help!

First msg on OKC. A 23 year old. And not even a fit one Hmm

TimeForMeAndDD · 23/08/2012 23:30

Grin Snape!! Grin

snapespeare · 23/08/2012 23:36

Think the universe wants me to get a bloody nice dinner bought for me first!

My ass is anyone's for a nando's

Grin
hatesponge · 24/08/2012 00:10

Snape Grin

Another 4 messages on OKC. All deleted.

Good job I'm in no hurry for another date!

MyLittleMiracles · 24/08/2012 00:30

snape lol. The universe is telling you to not allow your hormones overcome you.....

I am sitting thinking I need to catch up with all the gossip.

And have you tried oasis. I was on there for a while and met a few nice people off there. Though we didn't go further we still touch base with each other in most cases. Anyway its worth a go. I just copied and pasted from my POF profile to Oasis,

hatesponge · 24/08/2012 01:32

2 more messages deleted.

I'm not noticing any difference in quality of messages thus far compared to those on POF, and the men are even less attractive. I've had one man out of my views so far who looked ok, but he was looking for a woman no older than 30...

Will sleep on it & see what tomorrow brings :)

FateLovesTheFearless · 24/08/2012 06:56

Right that's it sponge, you are clearly just going to have to move! To somewhere over run with fit blokes!

The so called city I live in (it's a town!) is full of either stoners or alcoholics or greasy hair and track suits Hmm I kid you not. When I was on POF and OKCupid there wasn't a single bloke I would have looked twice at Blush hence my previous serious relationships and current being from nowhere near this place!

Makes me sound really shallow doesn't it but honestly, it's just the truth! Grin

watchoutforthatsnail · 24/08/2012 06:57

Hmmm, give it a little time, have a look yourself too.

Loving the dating committee though, fab idea :)

Snape, that is a pain :(

I'm now off, literally in an hour, camping in what's going to be a fairly wet and windy weekend. But, mrl just text me 'morning gorgeous, see you really.soon'
:)
And I know he must like me a lot for not only coming when its going to rain, but to camp with my extended family too
:)

Hope you all have fab weekends

Oh Snape! ShockSad
Can you postpone Date No 2?

You should definitely tell PM about date and see if it gets any reaction from him - I know you fancy the prof (hell, I fancy the prof!) but that was the original idea.

I need to move cities too - loads of nice eligible men in the city 60 miles away but that was what scuppered my last relationship and don't want to go through that again. Meanwhile, no reply to my email from last night... Hmm

hatesponge · 24/08/2012 09:08

I live on the outskirts of London. You'd think I should be able to find one attractive man on OKC. I did a couple of searches last night. I didn't see any.

I have woken up in the worst mood today. I feel like bursting into tears, or punching someone. Neither of which is particularly appropriate at work. I fear it will be a long day :(

snapespeare · 24/08/2012 09:22

sponge hug!? come on, I have a remarkable bosom, it's very comforting. :)

you're quite near me, arent you? we should definately find time for a coffee if we can...I'm much better at rationalising talk in person and I will only bring a very small [wetfish] like a sardine or something...
