My partner has the most annoying habits, some I actually find sexist and offensive but I dont know if Im just being uptight!

He goes to kiss me and then licks my face , he knows I cant stand this, I hate it and have told him so. I think it's disgusting and it makes me feel sick but he still does it.

Sometimes he will come up to me and say "beep beep" whilst squeezing my boobs as if they're horns. It probably sounds funny but I find it so bloody annoying and patronising.

he throws my clothes on the floor if he's getting into bed and they're on the bed. He makes himself a cup of tea without offering to make me one too. He asks me to make him a cup of tea in a morning whilst he's laid there dozing and ALWAYS lets it go cold and then leaves it there to get knocked over. Last time we took my son swimming he went off to the cafe to get himself a sandwich without offering to get me or my other son (who was watching) one.

He's really winding me up lately, would any of this annoy you or am I being petty??

It would drive me effin nuts.

How or I should say WHY do you put up with him?

Jackstini · 25/01/2006 20:13

It would all annoy me puddleduck!! Sounds like he is just not thinking.
As he being so childish, treat him like one. Write down a list of 'no-no' behaviours for him so he is crystal clear on what is/is not acceptable. You can always invite him to do the same for you if you feel confident.
Then do the punish/praise thing until he learns.
Nip it in the bud now or he will end up aggrevating you beyond belief later!

QE2 · 25/01/2006 20:13

Annoying habits?? Sorry, but he sounds like a selfish, self-centred, pathetic, immature twat to me. I wouldn't stand for it.

puddleduck06 · 25/01/2006 20:14

another thing aswell, he wanted to go to subway (the sandwich place) on sunday but only had about £6, I didnt have any money so he said he wouldnt be able to go as he couldnt afford to get me one as his meal alone cost around £5, he then said "well, I could get the smaller one and get you one too but Im too hungry". Admittidly he had taken me out for a meal the night before but if you either had enough for yourself one big meal or you and your partner two small meals wouldnt most people buy the two small meals?? I know I would!

Sorry puddleduck, that was prob a bit harsh of me. I'm feeling a bit wound up about something else tonight so am being a bit aggressive.

Very annoying, you need to sort him out. Quick.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 25/01/2006 20:14

I think QE2 pretty much sums up my thoughts on it too.

jennifersofia · 25/01/2006 20:15

Annoy me? It would piss me off royally and I would be having strong words immediately.
Not being petty at all.

QE2 · 25/01/2006 20:15

Actually, think i stand by my first comments!

puddleduck06 · 25/01/2006 20:17

thanks girls (I assume you are all girls!).

Can I just ask, what would you find the most annoying out of the things Ive listed? I think he see's me as frigid when I whinge about it.

OP posts:
ssd · 25/01/2006 20:20

Puddle, come on!!

"whinge" / "frigid" ????

Where can I start??

Read your first post and pick out anything!!

Jackstini · 25/01/2006 20:21

It is the pure selfishness that shines through to me
You don't make yourself a dring without asking others
You don't buy yourself a big sandwich when you can get both of you a small one each
You don't keep repeating annoying behaviour after someone has told you they hate it
Why does he describe it as 'whinging'? Are you being too nice about it rather than saying clearly - NO you should not do this or NO I will not accept this?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 25/01/2006 20:23

Oh gosh, do i have to pick just ONE?

They are all immensely annoying/selfish in their own right.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 25/01/2006 20:39

Welcome to MumsNet, wow you must be at the end of your tether, for this to be your first post.

moondog · 25/01/2006 20:55

God,what an absolute arse!!!

munz · 25/01/2006 20:57

He goes to kiss me and then licks my face , he knows I cant stand this, I hate it and have told him so. I think it's disgusting and it makes me feel sick but he still does it. - is he a dog??*

Sometimes he will come up to me and say "beep beep" whilst squeezing my boobs as if they're horns. It probably sounds funny but I find it so bloody annoying and patronising. - DH tried to do this to me without the hooting, needless to say it was only done once. damn right disrespectful

he throws my clothes on the floor if he's getting into bed and they're on the bed. - ah apart form the swimming bit could be my DH - but again only did it once!

He's really winding me up lately, would any of this annoy you or am I being petty??

nope u're def not being petty, the thing i'd find most annoying - infact 2 things mainly the boobs thing - OMG that winds me up - I mean FFS they're attatched to us girls they belong to us theyr'e not there for grabbing at!!! bloody men! (anyhow) and the other would be the swimming thing which is just plain rude if u ask me.

u def need to have a word with him.

sorry PG hormones coming out but OMG why do men do the boobs thing???

hercules · 25/01/2006 20:57

I would find it more than annoying.

nooka · 25/01/2006 21:18

I would guess that the licking thing is probably the most outrightly nasty, if he knows how you feel about it. I note this is the one you put the angry emoticon by, so would guess this is the one that gets you the most - or maybe it happens the most. It's also pretty odd, and quite invasive. The other things are unpleasantly selfish too, but that one strickes me as abusive.

MistressMiggins · 25/01/2006 21:40

he sounds like a 14 yr old - I knew lads of that age who used to do that

tell him to grow up & try proper foreplay, then you might be interested

Sadeyedladyofthelowlands · 26/01/2006 08:05

Hope you don't mind me asking but, is this bizarre man-child is the father of your children?
If not it might be an idea to re-evaluate your decision to have him in your lives. Do you really want this selfish, sexist excuse for a man as the primary male role-model for your sons???

jalopy · 26/01/2006 08:14

He sounds really selfish. Why are you with him?

MeerkatsUnite · 26/01/2006 09:22

Two words for you - Get rid!.

Men like him are a disgrace to mankind.

BudaBabe · 26/01/2006 09:35

Does he have ANY redeeming features????

I threatened my DH with divorce if he once more drops the last sliver of soap and leaves it in the plughole. Petty? Yes - but I have been telling him for years not to do it!

Have to say - your DP/DH sounds childish and selfish and greedy and mean.

puddleduck06 · 26/01/2006 19:20

I should have added that the licking thing is his idea of a practical joke, not a sexual thing (I dont know if it came across that way...). The boobs thing probably annoys me the most as its so childish and patronising, its like me grabbing his penis and shouting "ding dong" or something equally stupid.

He's not the father of my kids but he's pretty good with them. Another one of his habits though is messing around constantly with them, a few months ago he decided to soak my youngest son in the kitchen with...BLEACHY water, admittidly he didnt know it had bleach in it but he just doesnt think, there was water all over the place. Last weekend we bought some cadburys creme eggs and he decided to mess around hiding my youngest's...so of all the places to hide it he hid it in his mouth!!! the full egg in his mouth. How disgusting, he then expected my son to eat it afterwards. (after he had thrown it at me and it had hit me square on the nose resulting in a big black bump the next morning .

Alot of people I have spoken to say alot of blokes are like this but surely Im not the only one that finds it intollerable?

I thought mine was bad, I couldn't tolerate a man like this. It would infuriate m e.
