zany - gavin henson? charlotte churches cast offs? are you SURE?

Snapespeare · 09/12/2011 11:46

would def do russel brand, as long as he kept his mouth shut as it would hopefully wipe the insufferable smugness of off katy perry's face.

I would break him.

Grin
Zanywany · 09/12/2011 11:54

You should have seen him in The Batchelor - what a body!

TimeForChristmasSpirit · 09/12/2011 12:08

The only guy who I have found myself lusting after lately has been that there Steve wotsit off Deadly 60, but then I found out he is only about 5ft 8" and that sort of ruined the fantasy for me. I quite fancy the window cleaner who operates around here but I've not seen him in a while. And that is it. I'm a flop in the fancying of men department!!

adamschic · 09/12/2011 13:01

Looks first for me too.

How is everyone? Any news? I've been away so haven't managed to catch up.

Still talking to a couple of blokes on POF, not bothered about meeting up as too busy between now and Christmas.

wiseoldowl · 09/12/2011 13:17

Usually Lurk, loving the general chit chat but have to post re the lists.

Zany - good list, though would ditch Gavin for Mark Wright (better body & not so up himself!), Charlotte Church's sloppy seconds.... standards!!

Definitely with Time - there has to be a mental connection there, and looking at earlier posts I think that would be the same for a lot of women ... or why are they being so fussy if its NSA?

Just love this thread, although havent ventured into Internet dating... think you lot have put me off Xmas Hmm

FreakoidOrganisoid · 09/12/2011 13:46

My friends think I'm weird because I don't fancy ANY celebrities really. Sometimes fancy a character in a film but it only lasts until the film ends. Did have a bit of a soft spot for that matt cardie off xfactor last year but forgot all about him until he reappeared this year.

Time the last two men I've slept with have both been window cleaners Hmm BlushOnly one of them was MY window cleaner though Wink

Zanywany · 09/12/2011 14:07

Before I'm a Celeb I thought Mark Wright was a bit up himself but he came across as a lovely person, and very fanciable Xmas Grin

I am not looking forward to tonight, its my DS's football Xmas party tonight and my XH and his girlfriend are going. He is always all over my parents being extra friendly and his girlfriend acts like she is my DD's Mum!

OP posts:
PoppaRob · 09/12/2011 14:57

zany, did you ever see the Bridget Fonda movie "The Assassin"? Her mentor tells her whenever she's stressed or threatened or feels out of her depth to just smile sweetly and say "I never did mind, about the little things".

Zanywany · 09/12/2011 15:09

No I haven't seen it Poppa but its a good idea to think that way. He is extra friendly with my parents to annoy me (he did the same with his first wife, after they split and I met him he would want to socialise with his ex's family, I see now that it was his way of saying 'see your family still like me')
I don't let him see it bothers me but the children have had major issues with him/his girlfriend and how he treats the kids as though they don't matter when she is around. HIs girlfriend tries to act like a Mum to my DD even when I am standing next to her.

Although it winds me up to be around them I smile and don't let him see how much it bothers me.

OP posts:
PoppaRob · 09/12/2011 15:22

Maybe you should find the movie. It also shows you several excellent ways to assassinate people... just saying... a girl can never have too many life skills!

Seasidegirly · 09/12/2011 15:31

Hi all

Got a first meet with someone off POF tonight. Very nervous but he seems nice. Oh gawd - just realised I say they all the time. Wish me luck Xmas Grin

prettypurpledaisy · 09/12/2011 18:31

After all my trauma this week to get ready to go out tonight He has just rung to cancel. probably for the best will give up until the new year.
All dressed up with nowhere to go :(

lubeybaublely · 09/12/2011 19:00

Aww daisy that's happened to me loads in the past. Sucks I know. Wine

Look at this OKC prat twitpic.com/7qujjh

Seasidegirly · 09/12/2011 19:14

Oh thats so annoying Daisy. Mines just txt me and said - 'bad news Im still coming'. lol Xmas Smile

joblot · 09/12/2011 19:19

i am on the verge of giving up with this dating lark. latest interest is from someone whos in a relationship. bleurgh. on the bright side they werent after a threesome. things looking up eh?

watchoutforthatsnail · 09/12/2011 19:44

daisy - sorry. that has happened to all of us at some point and is just damn rude.

werid day.

firstly a disappearer has contacted ne. i shall not be meeting him despite his best efforts.

i had a scan on pof for anyone decent, and am now chatting to a marine biologist! which would be exciting if i could spell it.

and, for those on my fb MCS is chatting to me. We have a bit of a history that hasnt happened due to distance and me being a bit flakey. Hes a nice guy ( officer the army) and absolutley filthy ( he who was going to take me to TG) But still genuinely nice. Ive known him about 2 years and a bit. This will not be the romance of the century. heck, it wont even be the romance of the week. But hes told me hes coming to vist.

prettypurpledaisy · 09/12/2011 19:52

I couldn't have liked him too much as I am not upset just annoyed and embarrassed in front of DD and her BFF as i look a right pratt all ready and made up then not going out.
After New Year all the fabulous men will be on POF! Had a message from old friend to meet for coffee and may do that now I have a little more confidence, both met in the flesh when I was 18!
Good luck Seaside hope he is nice, thanks for all the nice responses, now have wine and 48 year 11 mocks to mark :)

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow · 09/12/2011 21:46

can some of you please tell me what the reason is for having a "hidden" profile on POF and how would I be able to do that.

Thanks

adamschic · 09/12/2011 21:47

I think I saw the guy who stood me up. I was taking the first London train with DD and he was in the waiting room all suited and booted. I didn't see him until they all departed for the train, not mine, and he didn't see me but sent a chill through my spine. I might have stared him out if I'd seen him previously.

There are some serious timewasters on the sites and it's getting worse.

hatesponge · 10/12/2011 06:20

was out with my work team yesterday for our Xmas lunch, which then went on into the evening, was really good, everyone full of Xmas spirit(s) and making the effort to get along Grin actually made me quite happy - though that may have been the alcohol!

my boss (the one whos leaving soon) turned up briefly to buy us some drinks and flirt with me Blush. its all getting a bit weird between us now, prob for the best he is going!

was home by 9ish and asleep really early hence awake now... just a shame about my hangover!

SpiritualKnot · 10/12/2011 10:27

Well, last night I didn't see the man I got rampant with. I phoned him for a very dirty chat though. Turns out he likes rough sex, too rough, which is what I thought, not really into that unfortunately. Say "unfortunately" as he really did turn me on. He called me a dirty bitch, so true.Xmas Wink

So pleased though, sounds daft but before I got married 20 years ago, I was convinced I was some sort of sex maniac, marriage to someone with whom I wasn't sexually incompatible made me think I really disliked sex, but certainly not the case.
xx

PoppaRob · 10/12/2011 15:59

Not dating related, but... One of my cool step GD's is 11. I asked her for some ideas for what she might like me to consider buying her for Christmas. She told me she was "into music". Great! Favourite band? The fucking Jonas Brothers! Oh dear. The child obviously needs to be given some direction, so I bought her a Jonas Brothers poster and a Led Zeppelin Stairway To Heaven t-shirt! While I was on that eBay shop I bought my 12 year old step GS a Song Remains The Same t-shirt to go with his new Nerf gun. I think it might be time for Poppa Rob to take them to see a band or two for some musical education.

watchoutforthatsnail · 10/12/2011 18:43

sponge -he fancies you!!!!!!!

weird day today. i decided to tell the disappearers and cock shot senders of the past week where to get off. most just didnt reply, but ended up in a 3 hour argument with mr cock shot from tuesday. urgh. But i think we sorted it and he called like 17 times before i picked up. because he wanted to appolgise properly ( and was worried i woiuld tell his gf)

i CANNOT see mcs. i just cant. please can someone tell me its a very very stupid idea and the reason i havent seen him before is because i know it is a very stupid idea and that hasnt changed.

and ive a date with the marine biologist tomorrow. hes 39, which is kind of up there for me. AND BLONDE!!!!!! i dont hold out hope
