I waver between twatface, boyfriend, petal (which he hates but amuses me because he's a 15 stone gorgeous bricklayer) or Australian (because he is, and I am not). In fact I don't think many of my friends know his real name as he's always referred to by me and the australian.

I have just remembered a lovely old couple I once met. They were in their 60s and had been together for over 40 years.

They always addressed each other as "My Love", even for mundane things such as "My Love, would you pass the salt?". I thought it rather sweet.

'Love' goes down well with my DP, and I like it because it sums up my feelings for him succinctly and isn't too sentimental, soppy, irksome, or childish.
